This memoir is a deeply personal journey through my childhood, shaped by war, displacement, and the complex relationships within my family. It explores my early years as a rebellious misfit in Kuwait, my difficult relationship with my mother, and my longing for freedom in a world that sought to confine me. Through vivid memories—attempting to run away, secretly building a boat to escape, performing ballet before royalty, and experiencing the Iraqi invasion—I weave a story of resilience, defiance, and the search for identity.
