Drawing connections between faith, art, and resistance, the narrator finds solace in the counterculture’s defiance of conformity. They see parallels between the goth aesthetic and marginalized groups’ struggles for survival and expression. The story ends with the narrator’s manifesto, celebrating the power of art and rebellion while urging society to learn from its forgotten histories and embrace the beauty of defiance against oppression.
