As a Pro Author, it get a "Instant Story Boost" and appears on the Short Story Lovers homepage, category pages, and gets recommended on other authors' story pages.
Free users can publish up to 2 stories per month. Pro Authors can publish unlimited stories.

Yes, you can edit your story after publishing. Go to your My Stories page in Author Hub, find the story you want to edit, and make the necessary changes. Once done, save the changes to update the story.
We accept a wide range of genres including romance, fiction, horror, fantasy, science fiction, adventure, and many more. You can view some genres on Explore Categories page.
While we are open to diverse storytelling, we do not accept stories that contain explicit pornographic content, excessively violent scenes, or promote illegal activities. Stories with mild adult themes such as physical relationships, alcohol, or drug use are acceptable as long as they are tastefully portrayed.

The main difference is in the featuring credits. Gold plan subscribers receive $10 in featuring credits, while Platinum plan subscribers receive $40 in featuring credits. These credits can be used to secure a story spot on the homepage for about a week.

Unfortunately, we do not have an option to bulk move stories from the free to the paid tier. You will need to manually edit each story from the "My Stories" section.
We do not offer refunds for the ongoing month. But you can always cancel your subscription. Since our subscriptions are billed monthly, you will not be charged for the next month after cancellation.

You do not get paid directly after posting a short story. Authors can earn through paid subscriptions and tips given directly by readers who enjoy their stories.
Authors have two options for payouts: Stripe Connect or Direct Bank Transfer. You can set up your preferred method on the Payouts page in the Author Hub.
