"What do you mean this isn't working out? Kendrick I love you. "Said Rabecca as she wiped the tears rolling down her cheeks. Rabecca Kennedy, a Business Administration major at Harvard University  was always an intelligent girl with so many dreams for a 21 year old. She lived with her father since her mother died 5 years ago. Her father refused to take another wife as a way to honor his wife Jasmine Kennedy. His grace Judge Elton Kennedy was a renouned  judge at the High Court in New York and had worked for the court for 17 years now dedicated his life to making sure his daughter got the best life could ever offer. Kendrick on the other hand was a regular guy from a wealthy family who lived a wreckless life. He cheated on Rabecca a number of times in the past and they had only been dating for a few months. Kendrick was 4 years older than Rabecca and with this it was quite easy to manipulate Rabecca. Kendrick and Rabecca had been dating for 5 months now and things were going perfectly well despite the cheating,at least that's what Rabecca thought. All of a sudden Kendrick says it's not working out, this leaves Rabecca rather confused than hurt. 

 

"Jane I think it's time I try something different, maybe I should try dating foreign men,"Rabecca said to Jane, her best friend. " Maybe my soulmate is not from this country. Maybe that's why it never really works out because he might not be from here."

 

Rabecca went ahead and created an account on a dating site and soon was chatting with several men from across the world. Soon she became fond of a Spanish man by the name Eduardo da Silva. Eduardo was a legal business advisor at one of the firms in Spain and owned a Law Firm,Da Silva Attorney. He was a fairly tall man, great physique and a lot of money. Rabecca explained why she went on a dating site and explained how her previous relationship ended. Rabecca and Eduardo started formally dating and made many plans to visit each other until one day.

 

"Jane, I think I am pregnant! This is definitely Kendrick's child!"

 

Rabecca was terrified as this would ruin a lot of things for her. Firstly,her relationship with Eduardo would be completely jeopardised, then her father would be completely disappointed in her and worst still she was carrying the child of a man that wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. So much was on the line!

 

Jane simply advised her to stay calm until it was confirmed. " let's go to the college clinic and have a test done, for now just stay calm,"said Jane as she gave her best friend a hug.

 

After classes , both Jane and Rabecca went to the clinic so that Rabecca can have a pregnancy test done. Soon after it was confirmed, she was two months pregnant for Kendrick. Rabecca was confused. How was she going to tell her father? What was she going to tell Eduardo? She felt completely shattered.

 

 For two days, Rabecca stayed in her room crying. She was not talking to anyone , neither was she eating. She ignored all of Eduardo's texts and calls. Her father became very worried. He tried everything to make her leave her room but to no avail. Jane explained everything to Rabecca's father and still he was the supportive father that he has always been. He assured her that they would get through this together as they have always done. Kendrick was definitely not interested in being part of the child's life.

 

Finally she gathered some strength and her father took her for therapy in order to help her deal with her depression. Gradually Rabecca was getting better, she was going for her doctor's appointments, she was eating healthy and exercising. Unfortunately she had not yet told Eduardo.

 

"Girl, you need to let him know. He will be visiting soon and you do not want to him to come to such surprises," Jane advised.

 

"I know but I am so scared. What if he wants nothing to do with me? I love him so much,"sobbed Rabecca," What if he leaves me?"

 

Finally Rabecca decided that she was going to let Eduardo know. She wrote a long paragraph.

 

"My love, I love you and I am grateful to God for you. I know we agreed to be honest in our relationship and I have been honest. Unfortunately, had I known what I know now. I probably would not have gotten on this site. Eduardo I am pregnant with Kendrick's baby and no I did not cheat on you. I found out two months after we started dating. To be honest, I want to keep this baby. Kendrick does not want anything to do with our baby and I have accepted that fact. I am so sorry I waited this long to tell you. Can you forgive me?  I promise to respect whatever decision you make concerning our relationship. Love Rabecca."

 

Eduardo received this message but he did not reply. A week passed and he finally sent his own paragraph.

 

" Rabecca my love, there is absolutely no reason for me to be angry. I know everything. Jane told me. I wanted to hear from you. Jane is  a good friend. She explained the situation to me and I felt bad and I still feel bad that I am not able to be with you right now. I do not mind that you are carrying another man's child. I would gladly raise him as my own. I told you that I accept everything about you and that includes your child. As I write  this letter to you I am on a plane to the United States to see you. With that being said , I want to ask you this question. Will you marry me?

 

Rabecca could not believe what she just read. She hugged Rabecca and went to her father to inform him about Eduardo's arrival.

 

Rabecca's father drove Rabecca and Jane to the airport where they met Eduardo for the first time. Rabecca and Eduardo hugged and soon Eduardo went on his knees and proposed to Rabecca. Rabecca looked at her father and he nodded in approval. She immediately said yes. Eduardo lived with the Kennedy family for a month and invited Rabecca over to Spain. 

Rabecca gave birth to baby Eduardo in Madrid,Spain. Soon after Rabecca graduated from Harvard and the couple immediately tied the knot.
