This story is about a little boy named Aadhi.

Aadhi is the only son of his parents. But his mom and dad are always busy with their business. They're always on calls, running around, managing things - so they don't get time to spend with him.

Aadhi usually stays at his grandparents' house. His grandpa and grandma take care of him with lots of love, and there are also house helpers around. So, his parents fully focus on their business without worrying much.

But you know what's special about Aadhi? He understands everything! He never complains because he knows how hard his parents are working. He's such a good boy!

One day, though, things changed. Aadhi's grandparents had to leave town for a family function. The helpers were also away on some emergency work. So now, Aadhi had to stay with his parents.

Aadhi was excited! "Yay! Now I can spend time alone with Amma and Appa!" he thought happily.

But just then? ring ring! A business call came. His parents had to urgently leave town.

Aadhi was heartbroken. "Now I have to stay all alone?"

"No no, kanna," said his mom. "Your uncle Karthik is here, right? He lives just next door. We'll ask him to take care of you."

Uncle Karthik was a bachelor who worked from home. But when they asked him to come over, he said,

"I can't remove my work setup and shift there. But if you bring Aadhi here, he can stay in my guest room."

So Aadhi's parents packed all his things and dropped him off at Uncle Karthik's house.

At first, everything was great! Uncle Karthik tried his best to keep Aadhi entertained - playing games, singing songs, dancing, telling stories. Aadhi had fun for two whole days and didn't feel bored at all.

But on the third day? ring ring! Another call.

This time, Karthik had to go to the office urgently.

Before leaving, he told Aadhi,

"Kanna, there's food in the fridge. Eat whatever you like. But don't touch anything else. I've prepared everything you need. I'll be back in just an hour, okay?"

Aadhi nodded.

But you know what had been catching Aadhi's eye for the past two days?

A pack of noodles in the fridge.

All his friends at school used to talk about noodles. "They're so tasty!" "So yummy!"

Aadhi had always wanted to try them. And now? the chance was right there.

Uncle wasn't home. The noodles were already cooked.

So Aadhi heated it and ate it happily.

But after a while? uh-oh! His tummy started hurting. He kept running to the bathroom. He felt dizzy and tired.

When Karthik returned home, he was shocked!

"What happened? What did you eat?"

"I ate the noodles from the fridge?" Aadhi replied, holding his stomach.

Karthik gasped. "Oh no! I had kept those noodles to throw away! I completely forgot! They were old!"

He immediately took Aadhi to the hospital.

The doctor checked and said, "It's food poisoning."

Karthik explained everything. "I didn't think he'd eat it. His parents had told me not to give him noodles. I should've been careful."

The doctor sat next to Aadhi and said kindly,

"Sweetheart, eating old or leftover food - even if you heat it - is not safe. Always ask your parents first."

Karthik called Aadhi's parents, and they rushed to the hospital.

But you know what? They didn't scold him.

They said, "Aadhi, this is not your fault. It's ours. You only wanted to try something new. We should've been there for you. If we had prepared it for you fresh, you wouldn't have done this."

Aadhi looked down and said,

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to try it because all my friends talk about noodles? but now I don't want it anymore. Today's experience is enough!"

Everyone laughed gently.

And from that day on, Aadhi always remembered - before tasting anything new, it's always best to ask Amma or Appa first. Because one small mistake can lead to a big lesson, but every lesson makes us wiser.

Moral of the Story:

Dear kids, if you want to eat something new, always ask your parents first.

Our tongue may desire many tasty things, but it is our responsibility to protect our body.

Even if the food is in the fridge or already cooked - if it's old or expired, don't eat it!

And never share expired food with others. What's harmful to you can harm them too.

Inform the elders at home and make sure they understand how important food safety is.

Healthy food and good habits nourish both your body and your mind.

Let's stay safe, happy, and healthy - together!

Stay curious, but stay safe too, dear little stars!
