The next day, Ian was waiting for me in the living area.

"Good Morning Ms. Song. Hope you are feeling better. You asked me to come today, anything I can do for you?"

"How's your injury?"

"I am fine Ms.Song.Thank you for asking"

"Good, Can you tell me what happened to me since I joined the company?"

"Ms. Song, You have joined the company in October. In November, there was a business dinner in which you had a conflict with Ms. Simpsons. Later you took up the Imperial Palace resort project. Before the finalization of investment, we both went for a visit and then you had the accident and were hospitalized."

"Tell me more about the accident"

"After a thorough investigation, it was found that the brake lines were tampered with. While we were trying to get out of the car, we were followed and they tried to harm us. While I was trying to block them, Mia and you rushed inside the Palace to hide."

"Mia?"

"She is one of the key personnel handling the project. She worked for over a year at the company and assisted you during the visit."

"Was she injured during the accident? I didn't see her in the hospital."

"Yes. She had some injuries on her leg and a minor fracture on her hand. She was the one who alerted the security systems for your safety."

"Ohk, what about Ms.Simpsons?? Who is she?"

"Ms. Shirley, Simpsons, daughter of Mr. Daniel Simpsons and Founder of UFO Group. During the business dinner, there was a rift regarding the Imperial Palace Project. She wanted to take it over, but our offer was a win-win situation for both parties. She wasn't happy about the collaboration and tried to provoke you at the dinner."

"How is she related to Henry then ?"

"She is the sister of Mr. Henry Simpsons."

"Did I meet Henry at the dinner too?"

"Yes, Ms.Song. You did have a chat with him, but I am not aware of your discussion."

"Was Pat present then?"

" Mr. Wilson was on a business trip then "

"Was I meeting Henry for the first time then?"

"As far as I remember, yes "

" Just over a project, Ms, Simpsons had a conflict at a business gathering. Don't you think it would affect her reputation in the business circle? Is there anything which I am unaware of?"

"It is said that Ms. Simpsons wanted to have a business marriage with Mr. Wilson. But as you know, Mr. Wilson has been rejecting her proposal."

"So, you can say that Mr. Henry wanted his sister to marry Pat and felt that I was the obstacle and planned the accident!!"

"We can't conclude it right away."

"Ian, you have been working with me since October, and with my Dad for the past two years. right?"

"Yes, "

"Then you might be aware that the accident recently is not an accident in real, but there is a mastermind behind it."

"Yes, Ms. Song. I do suspect it but, there is no evidence as of now."

"Keep checking."

"Yes, Ms. Song. Anything else?"

"You can leave now. Let me know if there is any progress."

After Ian left, I thought to myself,

" Life of Ms.Song from the Song Mansion isn't a simple one."

Just then Cici came to me with a small envelope.

"Ms. Song, these are your belongings which were left at the accident. After confirmation, it was handed to us a while ago. Please check it once."

As I opened it, I found a necklace with a small purple-colored jade pendant in the form of a lotus flower. As I had a closer look, I remember me picking up it with Mr. Johnson in my world a couple of weeks ago.
