Chapter 1:A fine morning
It was a fine morning at the Lancaster household, when suddenly Rose Lancaster, marched out of her room as if she was approaching some sort of battle field; unfortunately, the only battle field there was nearby, was the basketball court which was full of Beverly hills high school freshman. Besides that, she woke up the entire Lancaster family including me! Yes, that’s right. I’m afraid to say so but unfortunately, she’s my twin sister. AND as much as I ‘love’ my family, I just…I just can’t handle her drama every single morning whether it’s a school morning or simply just a Sunday morning.
I don’t know if you’ve realized so far but me and Rose are like black and white! Despite the fact that we are twins. Sometimes it gets funny! I think to myself: There MUST have been an exchange at the hospital that night, cause if not so why are we like the COMPLETE opposite? She likes pink, I like blue. She likes summer I like winter; she likes tea I like coffee. She likes makeup I simply hate it.
Moving on, that morning Rose and her boyfriend (we will be calling him her ex-boyfriend from now onwards) had officially broken up, apparently Mister Johnny William had dumped her for another sophomore, not to mention this was going to be Rose’s 3rd boyfriend this month. Although let’s be honest I wasn’t really feeling any pity for her since they didn’t even last 2 weeks, I didn’t expect her to be so mad about it. Turned out she wasn’t heading to any battle field but yes running towards Johnny’s porch, since he lived a few blocks away. I intended to follow her to help her sort things out with him, but unfortunately, I am no better at running than a snail, so I slowly walked behind her to the point that she had disappeared into one of the many houses. As I was trying to remember which one of these was Johnny’s house, My best friend Tom passed by with his car.
“Morning partner in crime. Where are you heading to? Want a ride? “he asked.
Although I really wanted to help Rose I also wanted a venti mocha swirl from Starbucks, and here’s the hard part where I have to choose between either my twin sister or Starbucks AKA love of my life.
Suddenly I realized Rose was going to be at Johnny’s place for quite a long time so I asked Tom to get me a drink while I sorted things out at Johnny’s place with Rose and her ex.
As I walked in at the Williams household, I heard lots of screams. Turns out it was worse than what I was expecting. After finally getting everyone to calm down, I found out that not only did Johnny dump Rose but yes he also spread a rumor that by now almost the entire school including the nerds who sit under the tree every break pretending that they can’t see us knew about the rumor stating that Rose was the culprit behind the vandalized wall at the library .Now as much as that sounded like a thing Rose would do I was 100% sure that Rose was not the one behind it, because not only was Rose terrible at wall art but because at the day the wall was vandalized me and Rose ditched school and went shopping with Tom and Rose’s best friend Tiffany.
