Chapter 1. Understanding karmic relationship

Is Your Love Life’s More Dramatic Than a ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode? Does it sounds you, then You Might Be in a Karmic Relationship?

Do you have a hard time understanding your behaviour in your current or a past relationship? Are you, or the both of you, running into the same relationship patterns over and over again? Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck, and unable to get out of the current situation? Do you feel that your partner is drawing a lot of energy from you?

If your answer is Yes, then you are in a Karmic relationship.

"A karmic relationship feels laden with challenges mainly because there are major lessons to be learned"

Always keep on doing good as it will return to you tenfold from various sources in most unexpected ways

Chapter 2. How Does Karma Affect Your Life?

Unless you are a highly evolved, enlightened being, karma affects your life in every way; in fact, your life is the constant unfolding of Karma. The karma dictates the direction of your life and your experiences. The Law of Karma is infallible and everyone invariably is subjected to it. Sometimes we are oblivious to the fact
that most of our life is spent in undergoing destiny which is created by our karmas or deeds in our past births. As per the law of karma, every positive deed which we do, generates a ‘merit’; while every negative deed results in a ‘demerit or sin’ which subsequently we need to repay by enduring happiness or unhappiness. All major events in our lives are predestined – for instance, the family that we are born into, to whom we will get married and so on. During our day-to-day interactions, we are either settling an old account or creating a new one. If an account is not settled in the present birth it is carried over to the next birth.

 Although, we are not consciously aware of the give-and-take karmic accounts generated in our previous births. In our subsequent births, we may or may not be equipped to settle our destiny and the paradox is that at the same time we are creating new karmic accounts. Thus, this loop of karma and destiny binds us and we remain entangled in it. The only way through which we can nullify our give and take account and destiny is through sustained and regular spiritual practice. In understanding the Law of Karma, we can see how spiritual practice can be useful to even those of us who have absolutely no spiritual interest and who only wish to be immersed in worldly pursuits. Even for those worldly relations to be fruitful, they need to be insulated from destiny.

Karma means action. Physics shows that for every action, there must be an equal and opposite reaction. Karma is energy, which in itself is neither good nor bad; these are just the labels people choose to attach to it. The energy created by an action has to be returned:
“As ye sow so shall ye reap.” It cannot be avoided.

When you act, it creates a memory, which in turn generates a desire, which leads you to perform another action. For example: You take your first dance class (action), then you know what happens in a dance class (memory), and if you enjoyed the class, you decide to go back the following week (desire), and that following week you turn up again with your dance (action). Karma creates memories and desires, which then determine how you live. Actions, memories, and desires are the Karmic software that runs your life.

The subtle energy created by your actions is stored within your memories and desires and is activated—sometimes immediately, but more often at some future time. To use the earlier example, you took the dance class and then forgot about it until months later when you’re walking through town and notice a dance studio. You remember your experience, which triggers the desire to take another class.

Chapter 3. The Vedantic View

It’s not necessary to believe in reincarnation to understand Karma but, from the Vedantic perspective, you have lived for many previous lives and the situations and circumstances of your current life are the result of the actions performed during all lives. Believing in Karma and reincarnation makes it easier to understand why bad things happen to good people or why a young innocent child develops a life-threatening illness. Vedanta would say that everything in your life is the result of the energy created by actions in previous births. Every situation that happens to you and everyone you meet has a Karmic significance. Everything happens for a reason. Whatever your belief, Karma implies that you have created and continue to create your life. Do you have free will? Unfortunately, many people have very little. Many
people allow themselves to remain imprisoned in that Karmic software, conditioned by their memories and desires, performing the same habits over and over and wondering why their lives aren’t taking them anywhere. Many are like the hamster, running on its treadwheel, thinking it’s getting somewhere while in fact it’s just going round and round!

However, as you grow and evolve spiritually, you can break out of those cycles and consciously choose the life you want to lead. The Karmic curse causes you to forget who you really are, so your spiritual path involves releasing the Karma that is clouding your awareness, allowing you to remember who you really are. Of course, releasing Karma doesn’t mean you lose all your memories and desires; it means you lose your attachment to them and are no longer held under their influence.

Are you in a Karmic relationship?

When two people destined to be in a Karmic Relationship come across each other, the attraction is magnetic and there's a connection they find difficult to ignore. Relationships that happen early on in life are mostly karmic in nature and these are meant to teach you lessons so that you can rise above as a person and realize your true potential and goals in life. Once the soul is free and you can overcome the challenges of a karmic connection, you will be true to yourself and will be ready for real happiness. Relationships are meant to be healthy and they should help you grow as a person.

 Chapter 4: What Is Karma?

There are two types of fruits we get out of any activity - main fruit and subordinate fruit. For instance, in a game of sports, the main benefit we get is that of getting physical fitness and the subordinate fruit can be winning. Even if we lose, the
main fruit is not going to waste. Both winner and loser get physical fitness. In life, the main fruit of discharging our duty properly is peace of mind, harmony and ability to enjoy what we have, independent of all other objects of so-called pleasure which we do not have. Subordinate fruits are wealth, position, rank, name and fame.

The Karmic Law of Cause & Effect

We also forget, or do not notice that God is giving us the main fruit of being happy and content, even if other things are not coming in ample measures. As per the infallible theory of karma-Phala, one will definitely have good results for good work done. But the moment we try to be selfish and work only for money or position, we’re in trouble. So the Gita’s message is: 'Do your best always, do not be utterly selfish and have no ego'. That indeed is the art of karma yoga.

Time and Karma

A person may not escape the consequences of his actions, but he will suffer only if he himself has made the conditions ripe for his suffering. Ignorance of the law is no excuse whether the laws are man-made or universal. The Law of Karma is infallible and everyone invariably is subjected to it. Sometimes we are oblivious to the fact that most of our life is spent in undergoing destiny which is created by our karmas or deeds in our past births. Every positive deed which we do, generates a ‘merit’; while every negative deed results in a ‘demerit’.

Topics in Depth on Theosophy

The only way through which we can nullify our give and take account and destiny is through sustained and regular spiritual practice. In understanding the Law of Karma, we can see how spiritual practice can be useful to even those of us who
have absolutely no spiritual interest and who only wish to be immersed in worldly pursuits. Even for those worldly relations to be fruitful, they need to be insulated from destiny. People come together and they move apart in strange situations and circumstances. It is all a play of karma. So, whether friends or enemies, keep your equanimity.

Chapter 5: Your Karmic Account

You don’t know when your friend will turn into an enemy and when your enemy may become your friend. Be centred and keep your balance. We keep on making ourselves in every moment, either by staying aware of everything happening within us and outside us or by judging and dividing everything as positive and negative. When we live in awareness will generate less karma which brings us closer to our being. This is the only way to awaken the truth within and awake our real self to live as pure Atman.

Karmic account - Exploring the Depth of Living

Karma means action and action motivated by compassion is good. To complain that what happens to you is just the result of your thought. Instead, confidently recalling the advice that, "You are your own master," you can change what happens by taking action. Karma is the memory of our souls, which means it’s often long-standing, even stemming from prior lives. Indeed, the course of our current life is mostly predetermined by earlier lifetimes, what we didn't finish then we come back to finish now.

The Philosophy of Karma: The Laws and Accounts

Karma is the luggage your soul carries on its trip from life-to-life. Unfortunately, this particular luggage never gets lost, which means you’re stuck with it until you open it up and sort through its ancient contents. Karma has no expiration date, without even knowing it, you may be experiencing karma that originated
several lifetimes ago. But when you do dig through your karmic luggage, then finally, you can confront your outstanding karma and lighten your energetic load. Other people in your life (family and friends) are just a coincidence.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR KARMIC ACCOUNTS

Everyone is placed into your life strategically for a reason. While you have the free will to walk away from or remain with a certain person, karma overpowers free will. This means that the course of karmic relationships will play out as planned despite your best efforts. Acknowledge the role of each person in your life: Why are they there? What have they come to teach you and vice versa? What is the karma you’re meant to experience with this person? The sooner you acknowledge the truth of the karma you share with someone (whether it’s good or bad), the sooner you can settle it.

The Philosophy of Karma

What you have done, you become. We often think of karma as “what goes around comes around.” But the reality of karma is more expensive than just being “punished” for our bad deeds — there exists positive karma, just as much as negative karma. If you stole, others will steal from you in the following lives. If you nourished, you will be nourished. Your actions throughout your various lifetimes become the circumstances of your being.

 Chapter 6: Karmic relationship healing

A karmic relationship is a romantic bond that is formed with someone in your soul group, and it's a relationship designed to heal past life lessons and pain. Ultimately, the road of all karmic relationships is one of joy, even if it's just a momentary meeting where the energy heals and then it breaks away in less than a couple of months.

Karmic relationships are the type of soulmate relationships that everyone has, and the
one thing they all have in common is they ignite the heart in passion. Karmic connections can be challenging and sometimes heartbreaking, but they usually lead to the light and a better way of life for all.

Signs you're in a karmic relationship can include

* Intense passion

* Obsessiveness

* A strong heart chakra attraction

* Unexplainable feelings or draw

* The impetus to change

* Adopting each other's patterns

* Emotional waves

* Intense like and dislike, sometimes equally

These are just a few of the signs you may be in a karmic relationship, and typically, karmic relationships bring out unhealed aspects of ourselves so they can be healed. Karmic relationships are ones that initiate incredible soul growth, right from the start.

Through these relationships, you can heal, evolve, and grow, though there may be times when it's a bit sparkly - meaning you may clash, there may be smoke and fire, but these moments, even in nature, always catalyze new beginnings.

You may evolve together for a lifetime with a karmic partner. You may only evolve together for just enough time for those patterns to illuminate before both parties separate to develop independently.

In both cases, karmic relationships act as a catalyst for the other's healing, growth, and maturation as a soul - so they are always good. Karmic relationships may open emotional wounds, and these wounds need time to be soothed and healed.

A karmic relationship heals when one or the other person steps out of the cycle and grows spiritually, or when one or the other person releases outside energy affecting their field, so both can grow.

When one of the karmic relationship partners steps away from the bond physically or energetically, this initiates the first step of healing. Once here, the relationship can continue in a new pattern or take a new form.

Steps to grow from a karmic relationship
are :

Take care of yourself… alone

To thoroughly improve a karmic pattern relationship, you'll then have to take time to separate and look within. This fully captures and processes the lessons the relationship has taught you so you can move on in the next tie more consciously. If you share your same energy with others before you have fully cleared the pattern elements of the previous karmic patterns can present in the new relationship.

To heal a karmic relationship, and it's wounded, whether it continues or not, taking care of your baseline physical needs first, food, shelter clothing, can reset your soul state for a new beginning.

This is why when a person sets out to make friends or romantic bonds, after a long period of mistreatment or unbalance, some of those early new bonds mirror this old pattern. Jumping into many new relationships too soon after the closing of a karmic bond will indeed reopen aspects of the pattern cycle held with the previous partner. All you have to do is recognize it and walk away from anyone restarting the old habit with you.

Close off and refresh energetic bonds

Your relationship with this person is likely rooted in thousands of years of soul history. Meaning, with karmic relationships, there is an energetic bond that links you, in addition to a physical one. Moving away, ignoring texts, and refusing to open your front door doesn't usually fully work with karmic partners.

To fully close the bond and heal from a karmic relationship, you'll likely also need to do some energy work to release yourself into a new bond fully.

Cut your cords and call all your energy back, and this will help reverse the effect the bond has had on you.

You may even need to perform a soul retrieval ceremony. I suggest Conscious Lifestyle Magazine's Article
for more on what this is and why you may need it.

Cutting energy cords and a soul retrieval can help you to regain all the aspects of yourself that were lost in that relationship over the years so you can be fully present in yourself again.

Fully let go

Many people find that intentionally letting go and resisting the urge to check-in helps. It allows any wounds to close and gives time for your heart to heal fully. You are bound to this person by only karma, and once you heal the karma by learning the lessons for you, the karmic patterns presented by this person are over, for you, forever. Meaning, you may never have to go through this experience again. Also meaning, you can set a new pattern with the same person if you so love them, and that same karma will help you both set new cycles in motion.

Also known Source doesn't fault a soul if someone else has chosen to avoid their lessons. As you heal the karma for yourself by closing and recognizing the pattern, for you, it has ended for good.

The overarching benefits karmic relationships

It strengthens your heart chakra and usually opens up the soul to forgiveness, which is the final gateway to alignment, or what is also called enlightenment. Following the completion and healing from a karmic bond, many people meet their actual true love soulmates, or their existing relationship begins to morph into the relationship of their dream. Healing a karmic bond is like the final test of a soul because the point of a karmic relationship is to show us unhealed karma in ourselves so that we can heal it, and thus, become more fully ourselves.

Once you heal from and overcome the final karmic test, that is the relationship, and you relieve the
pain you carry from it. Thus, you open up fully to experiencing yourself and the love you truly deserve.

If you have been through more than one, know you continue to build and take with you all those teachings to be wiser and improve for all incoming and deepening relationships in your life.

A relationship can teach us so many things about how we value ourselves, and also how others value us and for karmic relationships, sometimes the point is to teach us to step up our self-love. Which is why to heal from one, often includes some level of energetic or physical separation.

Why is Resolving Karmic Relationships Important?

Karmic relationships don’t let you have peace until they are completely resolved. The best thing you can do from your side is to be open.

Approach your partner and tell them that things aren’t working out at your end. You are having problems. If things turn out positive, then it’s good news for you, but if they don’t, then it’s better to move on. In a karmic relationship mostly, your partner is unable to see the problem at all.

Forgiveness is the Key for Ending karmic relationships:

But, how to move on! You have already lived a relationship and faced its hardships, and now it becomes important that you should also learn from your mistakes. Don’t be angry and don’t blame the other to break the cycle. If you don’t do that, you will enter a new karmic cycle, and you have to go through all the pain all over again to learn the lesson of how to let go.

You need to know how to forgive to restore balance in your life. Forgiveness will help you to heal from within. It will make you evolve spiritually. It frees you from karmic debts and heals your every wound

Along
with forgiveness, some energy work is also required to close the karmic bond completely.

Cut the cord so that you can break all the ties between you and that person. When you cut the cord and learn your lesson, you break free from this karmic relationship for eternity.

John 4:36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

Overcoming karmic relationship by discovering that “you are more precious to yourself, than your lover is to you”
