Letter to My Dad
Hey Dad,
How are you? I hope you're doing well.
I hope this letter reaches you and that you find time to read it. It has been quiet long time we met, and I barely remember what you look like. I used to really hate you. I used to think that someday you would come to save Mom and me, even though you never promised to return. I had so many stories to share with you - how my school days went, the crafts I made, and my achievements. I wanted you to attend my PTA meetings, to show off my handsome father with my friends. I wanted you to pick me up from school and help me with my uniform. I was tired, Dad, of doing everything alone. I had so many unanswered questions.
But when I finally met you, I realized that you had changed. You were not the same person as before. I didn't see the love of a father in your eyes. What happened, Dad? Did I do something wrong? That was the day I started to change. I began to heal. I no longer needed answers to my questions. I stopped hoping you would come to save me. I started seeing you as just another human being - one who makes mistakes. I lifted the weight of being my father off your shoulders. I forgive you, Dad. Don't worry. Your little girl has become a warrior, building a new empire for herself and her mom.
Love you, Dad.
From,
Your Daughter
