When Valentine's Day Turns Into a Bloody Day,

I am Ara Celeste, a student at the National University of Pampanga. I'm 20 years old, a 3rd-year college student. I'm pretty famous because I'm always at the top of my class. I'm also attractive, so many guys are interested in me.

Every day, I receive flowers, love letters, etc. And I am used to it, so it's nothing special for me, especially now that I have a boyfriend named Dale. He's handsome and smart.

One day, as I was heading to my locker and opened it, as expected, there were many love letters inside that fell out. I furrowed my brow at a paper with red liquid on it. It caught my attention, so I picked it up. My knees trembled, and I gasped as it was blood. Blood was smeared on the paper.

I trembled as I looked around. I was alone in the locker room, which made me even more nervous. Who sent this to me? It's fresh blood for Pete's sake!

Curiosity pushed me to open it. Tears streamed down my face as I read the words on the paper, trembling with fear.

'I love you, Ara. I will kill anyone who becomes my rival.'

That's what was written on the paper, and I immediately tore it apart, running away in a daze. I could barely see where I was going because of the tears in my eyes. I struggled to breathe. I have asthma, and I really need to calm down, but I couldn't do it. I clutched my chest and my vision blurred. I wanted to speak, but no words came out of my mouth. I collapsed to the ground. I saw a figure. I wanted to reach out to ask for help. I struggled to breathe. I saw the figure again, but
it was no longer there.

"Oh God, Ara," I heard that voice, and soon after, he gave me an inhaler. I coughed to regain my composure and looked at the person who helped me.

"Dale," I cried, hugging him tightly. I can't get over it.

"Shhh, calm down," he comforted me. He helped me stand up, and only then did I realize that we were already in the parking lot. We got into his car, and he gave me water. I breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God. I thought I was going to die.

"What happened?" He asked with concern.

"I received a letter," I began weakly. He sighed.

"It had blood on it__and it said he'll kill anyone who becomes his rival. Dale? I'm scared. Your life is in danger. I don't want to lose you, Dale," tears started to fall from my eyes. He furrowed his brow but still hugged me.

"Shhh, don't believe that. Maybe someone's just messing with you. And besides, I can take care of myself, babe, so don't worry. Don't stress yourself, okay?" He reassured me. I nodded.

The next day, my day went back to normal, so I forgot about what happened until the end of the day. And this day is special for us.

It's Valentine's Day.

A smile never left my lips as I drove the car. Dale and I planned to meet at the beach owned by his family. When I arrived, it was already evening, so the weather was cool. I quickly went to the cottage, and to my surprise, someone suddenly hugged me from behind. I panicked but calmed down when I heard him laugh.

"Easy," he said. I frowned and playfully hit him in the chest.

"So? What are we going to do, loverboy?" I teased him and laughed.

"I have something to show you, but before that, I
need to cover your eyes." Seriously? How sweet. I nodded, and he began to cover my eyes with a cloth. I just smiled.

"Okay, let's go. Just hold onto me," I held onto him because I couldn't see anything. He carefully guided me to walk, and soon we stopped. He removed the blindfold, and I was amazed to see a yacht with lights on its side. Candles and red rose petals were scattered on the yacht. I cried tears of joy. I hugged him tightly.

"Happy Valentine's Day, babe," he greeted me and kissed my lips.

"Happy Valentine's Day too, babe," I happily greeted him back. He wiped away my tears and then helped me up onto the yacht. This is awesome.

His surprise didn't end there because he also gave me an expensive necklace. I was so happy. I feel so lucky. By the way, we're quite far from the shore, but I can still see the cottages from where we are.

Afterwards, we fell asleep together on the yacht and I woke up to the sound of something falling. I furrowed my brow when I didn't find Dale beside me. I went outside the yacht and gasped when I saw blood on the side. I quickly climbed up and screamed when I saw Dale's bloody body.

"Dale!" I rushed to him. Tears streamed down my face as I shook his face.

"Dale?" I called him. I was terrified because he didn't open his eyes. I tapped his cheeks. I looked around frantically. No one was there. I quickly ran to start the yacht, but I froze when someone suddenly hugged me from behind.

"Happy Valentine's Day, my Ara," I immediately felt chills and my knees weakened. Trembling, I turned to see his face. I knew him. He's the nerd in our class.

"W-what do you want, Kyle?"
I almost sobbed out of fear. He smiled sweetly at me, but it sent shivers down my spine.

"It's you. I need you, Ara. Your beauty drives me crazy," he said like a crazy person obsessed with a toy.

"A-are you the one who killed Dale?" I nervously asked him.

"Ah, that? Yes, because he was in the way of my love for you," he said as if it was nothing. I almost lost consciousness from fear.

"You monster!" I started to struggle, but he tightened his grip on me.

"Let go of me, you beast!" I was filled with anger and fear. I kicked his foot hard, and he loosened his hold. I didn't miss the opportunity and faced him. I kneeled his groin and quickly ran. Before I could get away, he grabbed my hair. I screamed in fear.

"Let me go, please!" I begged.

"No! You're staying with me, Ara," he said firmly. I was shaking as I looked around, but there was no one. He succeeded in what he wanted. He violated me repeatedly until he got tired. My body was weak, and I felt numb, like I was floating. He left me lying there. I tried to stand up, even though my knees were shaking. I want to die. I tried to walk. I saw him standing with his back to me, looking up at the sky as if he was crazy. He even spread his arms.

I saw the sharp metal nearby. I grabbed it and held it tightly. Here's the detailed translation of the rest of your tragic story:

I approached him slowly.

"Aaahhhhhh!" I screamed as I quickly thrust the sharp metal into his back. I recoiled from what I had done. He turned to look at me, blood gushing from his mouth. I covered my mouth, and tears started flowing again.

He
collapsed. Out of extreme anger, I violently pulled the metal out of his body and repeatedly stabbed it into his back. I felt like I lost control. All I could see was blood. I felt exhausted, so I stopped. I slowly walked towards the railings of the yacht. My eyelids felt heavy, and my body felt numb until I suddenly felt myself falling into the water.

I couldn't breathe. The weight of my body felt heavy, and my vision started to blur. What a cruel world.
