1.

It was a Monday morning when Depression's alarm went off, signaling it was time to get up for school. As she woke up, she had no desire to go, let alone get out of her bed.

"Depression, get ready for school!" her mother yelled from downstairs.

"I don't feel well. Can I stay home?" she yelled back.

Depression heard her mother walking up the stairs, and her heart started racing with every step.

"Sweetie, you need to go to school," Sam, her mother, said.

"But, Mum," Depression said, getting upset.

"No 'buts.' You're going, and that's it," Sam said, getting angry and walked out.

When she shut the door, Depression started crying. Then she thought to herself, "Why do I feel like this?" After 5 minutes had passed, Depression got up and started getting dressed. When she was finished, she looked in the mirror and said, "Why can't I be like the other girls? They're way prettier and skinnier than me." So she changed into something else, but it still wasn't good enough.

"Depression, hurry up, or you're gonna be late!" her mother yelled.

"Why does she have to yell at me?" she said to herself.

Depression finally found something to wear: a black long-sleeved shirt with black shorts. After getting dressed, she went downstairs and saw her parents having breakfast together.

"Hi, sweetie," her father kissed her forehead.

"Hi, Dad," she whispered back.

Her father was about to give her a bowl of Coco Pops, but she only looked at her stomach.

"It's okay, Dad, I'm not hungry."

But in reality, she wanted it, but she worried it would make her fatter. So she left and started walking to school; it was only 7:30, and school didn't start until 8:45. She wanted to organize her books in her locker and then go to homeroom to read before anyone else arrived.

After completing her tasks, she walked into her homeroom and saw a guy sitting there. She didn't pay much attention to him, so she walked to the back of the room and sat down. She grabbed her book out of her bag, titled "WHY ME," one of her favorites. She began reading until she was interrupted.

"Hi," the guy said, sounding overly cheerful for her liking. Was he okay?

"Um, hi," she said, feeling worried and unsteady.

"My name is Love. What's yours?" Love said, extending his hand and smiling.

"My... My name is Depression," but she didn't shake his hand.

She thought to herself, "Why is he talking to me? Did the popular kids put him up to this? Is this some kind of joke? What if... What if he just says I look fat or my clothes look bad?" So she ran out of class and sat in the girls' bathroom.

When she got to the bathroom, she started having a panic attack. Depression rushed to her special box of things that could help her, but she ended up dropping it everywhere.

Then the door swung open, and a girl who looked very sad entered. She ran towards Depression and helped her calm down.

"Thank you," Depression said, out of breath.

"My name is Depression. What's yours?" she said, feeling she could trust her for some reason.

"My name is Trickster," she said, sounding sad and low.

"Do you want to be friends?" Trickster asked.

Depression wasn't sure how to respond, but something inside her felt different for once.

"I would like to be friends with you."

A few months passed, and Trickster and Depression remained friends. However, Trickster was changing; she was becoming happy and joyful, while Depression stayed the same.

Every morning for the past month, Love had tried to talk to her, but she never responded. Trickster had changed a lot, so Depression planned to talk to her about it during break.

In first period, they had English with Ms. Finch. The teacher paired them up for an assignment and assigned Love to be her partner, the one she had been trying to avoid.

"So, where do you want to do this? My place or yours?" Love asked.

"I'm not sure. Maybe we could go to yours," she said, feeling worried.

Depression went into her parents' room to see if she could borrow something; hopefully, her mother wouldn't mind. She picked out a pair of jeans and a pink shirt, even though she didn't like pink. She wanted to make a good impression, so maybe they would like her. After getting dressed, she hoped for the best but felt worried. Did saying "hell" make her a bad person? She wasn't sure.

Half an hour later, there was a beep outside. She looked out her window and saw Love waiting for her. She walked downstairs, checked that everything was locked before leaving.

"Hey, Depression, how are you doing?" he asked.

"Fine, I guess," she replied.

Then he drove off towards his place. It took around 20 minutes to get there because he lived on the other side of town. On the way, they passed a cliff with a beautiful view.

They arrived at his place, and it was amazing; she felt underdressed, and she worried that his parents wouldn't like her at all. Maybe she should have worn different clothing.

They got out of the car and started walking towards the front door. Love knocked, and she stood behind him. The front door opened, and there stood a lovely woman wearing a floral yellow dress, looking beautiful.

"Hey, Mum," Love said.

"Hi, sweetie," his mother replied.

Then Love moved, and she saw Depression, but her smile disappeared.

"Sweetie, who may this be?" his mother said through gritted teeth.

"This is Depression; we have an assignment to work on," Love said.

Love took them to the backyard, which was amazing. She wished her yard was like this so she could have a special place.

Two days later, everyone heard about Depression, and the teachers held an assembly for her. The principal asked if any students knew her. Only two people stood up: Love and Trickster.

Mr. Mike asked if they wanted to say something about Depression, but no one said anything. They both sat back down and listened to Mr. Mike until it was time to go home.

The next day was Depression's funeral, and her parents were crying, as was everyone else, including Trickster. Love got up and read a speech.

"Depression was my friend. I wish I could have told her that while she was still here, but if I did, she wouldn't have believed me. I knew her too well; she didn't tell me, but she always showed it. She thought she wasn't good enough because everyone left her, heck, I even left her, and I'm not proud of it. She thought she wasn't loved; her parents loved her, but she didn't see it; she only saw disappointment. I loved her, but she only saw hatred. Deep down, inside all of us, we didn't really know the real her, but I'll tell you what I saw in her. I saw love, kindness, friendliness, intelligence; she was always trying her best, and she was very shy, haha. There's a lot more, but the list would go on. Like I said before, no one knew her. I wish I could have told her all this so she knew she had someone, but I was a coward. Rest in peace, Depression; you will be missed, and you will be loved."

At the end of his speech, everyone started to cry even more.

Two years later, Love continued to visit her grave and say, "You should be happy now; you're an angel." Then he would leave, go back home, and cry in his room, because, after all, she is happy, and that's all she ever wanted.

The end.

How did Depression die? It seems like the story was rushed and unfinished. It also seems like the author skipped a whole chapter
