Once upon a time kids were barely left un-supervised by adults for fear of the unknown. One such fear was that weird things would start happening if you met these small stature people 'Liliput'. It was during one of those old days, a boy went hunting with his uncle in the thick of the forest. It was a night where you could barely make out the figure of the game, but the older man was much in tune with the dark of the night. The boy heard the rustle of the bushes, startled him much only to be 'ssheed' by his uncle who was ready with his dagger. Out came a small rodent squealing out in fear, upon seeing the two of them it hurriedly redirected its path.
'Some other animal must've spooked it!', uncle stated. The boy only nodded in agreement. He wanted the hunt to end so that they could return back and be able to sleep peacefully on his bed. For some reason he felt that tonight was not the night to be out in the forest. He felt some chills run through his body, only adding more to that uneasy feeling.
All of a sudden, they could hear a little noise near where the rodent sprinted out. The boy squinted his eyes to make out where the noise was coming out from. He tugged on his uncle's shirt so that both could figure out what it was again! The path seemed like something that was used up by a lot of small people. The weirdest part was their footprint, it looked like their feet were backwards. Bruising aside the many questions, he cautiously followed behind the uncle.
'Look', uncle pointed at a distance. The boy followed his direction and there beside a small brook he could make out that there were some small kids. Upon much closer inspection they just looked small only that they were adults with smaller stature and looked like both were male. He could see that there were two of them, speaking to one another in altogether a different language. 'Best we observe them from here and not spook them', uncle whispered. The boy could only look at them in amazement. Well, he had heard some stories regarding these people and then be able to experience it firsthand. He was in awe! Maybe it was the uncle or the boy who made a little more noise, those small people looked directly at them! Fear came across their tiny faces and both scurried away fast!
The uncle beckoned the boy towards the place those tiny people stood at just a few seconds ago. He followed. 'See the footprints! These liliput have their feets backwards', uncle stated, 'They are a peaceful bunch, I tell you and a bit shy upon seeing us'. The boy wanted to know more about theses liliput people. The daylight was breaking in soon, uncle wanted to hunt some kill and then head home. The so many questions and their answers had to wait for the next time.
'Just a fair bit of warning, the next time you are alone and you come across Liliputs. RUN!'.
