Dawn to Dusk
Chapter 1
Katsuki Bakugou was a hot-headed middle schooler with explosive quirk abilities that made him stand out among his peers. He was determined to become the next number one hero and beat out his childhood friend, Izuku Midoriya. However, despite his confident front, Katsuki couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards Izuku's own quirkless abilities, especially after he was the only person in their grade to be accepted into the prestigious U.A. High School for aspiring heroes.
Yet despite the tension between them, Katsuki couldn't help but feel a certain bond with Izuku; a bond that he refused to acknowledge or even understand. They had grown up together, their mothers had been close friends, and they had been inseparable as children, until Katsuki's explosive quirk abilities had kicked in.
One hot summer day, during a particularly grueling training session, Katsuki had pushed Izuku beyond his limits, calling him names and insulting him for his lack of quirk abilities. Izuku stood there, taking the abuse, until he couldn't take it anymore. Tears streaming down his face, he lashed out at Katsuki, screaming that he would never be a real hero like Katsuki no matter how hard he tried.
Katsuki had been stunned, taken aback by the sudden outburst, and yet he couldn't find it in himself to stop. He had continued to berate Izuku so much that the smaller boy had collapsed on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. It wasn't until after their training session was over that Katsuki had realized what he had done and the weight of his actions had finally sunk in.
From then on, Katsuki tried to make it up to Izuku, but no matter how hard he tried to apologize or do something nice for him, Izuku refused to forgive him. The two drifted further apart, until Katsuki was left alone to train on his own.
However, as the months passed, Katsuki began to notice something about Izuku. The once happy-go-lucky boy had become increasingly withdrawn, often sitting by himself during lunch or avoiding social activities. Katsuki at first thought that Izuku was trying to distance himself from him, but he soon came to realize that something deeper was going on.
One day, Izuku didn't show up to school. Katsuki had assumed that he was just sick or taking a day off, but when Izuku didn't return the next day, he began to worry. Katsuki tried to contact him, but Izuku's phone went straight to voicemail, and none of his other friends seemed to know where he was.
Katsuki's worry turned to outright panic when it was revealed that Izuku had attempted suicide by jumping off a building. Miraculously, Izuku had survived the fall, but he was in critical condition at the hospital.
Katsuki was beside himself with guilt and anguish. He couldn't believe that he had been so blind to Izuku's pain and that he had contributed to it. Katsuki sat by Izuku's bedside, desperate to make things right, but the injured boy remained unresponsive.
Days went by, and with each passing day, Katsuki's dread grew. It was only when the police finally revealed why Izuku had attempted suicide that Katsuki's world came crashing down.
Izuku had been the victim of bullying, a target of jealousy and resentment from his classmates. Katsuki was furious, not just at those who had hurt Izuku, but also at himself, for being a part of the problem.
Days turned into weeks, and Katsuki's guilt and grief never lifted, especially when Izuku never woke up from his coma. In the end, Katsuki couldn't take the pain anymore. He took his own life, unable to bear the burden of his guilt any longer.
Izuku's story was one of tragedy, of pain and suffering that stemmed from the jealousy and cruelty of others. Katsuki's story was one of an awakening; a realization that his actions had consequences and that he needed to make amends. However, in the end, it was a story of two young boys whose lives were cut short by tragedy, their love and connection unspoken and unfulfilled.

Chapter 2
Ten years later in the afterlife. Izuku, now twenty four, was calmly sitting in his personal paradise never knowing Katsuki died. In fact today was the ten year anniversary of his attempt. With his anniversary in mind he decided he should go visit his own grave for once.
Soon Izuku got to where his tombstone was but he felt something else, like someone was there. Izuku sat down in front of his grave spacing out staring at it, and as he was zoned out he felt someone else hug him from behind. Izuku whipped around reacting before looking and punched them in the nose and the person fell to the ground. But just when Izuku looked he saw Katsuki on the ground holding his nose.
Katsuki groaned a bit then chuckled "Well hello to you then Deku?"
Izuku was stunned "Kacchan? you're dead too?..."
Katsuki nodded, standing up "Yea? how could I have lived when the light of my world was gone? I couldn't stay in an existence you weren't in. I stayed by your side every day during your coma until you died. You were my best friend Izuku, and we were supposed to be heros together, I couldn't do that alone and without you there ? nothing mattered?"
Izuku, after hearing all this, stood there stunned. After all this time, after all this pain, after thinking Katsuki just hated him completely. He realized when he killed himself it was supposed to make Katsuki happy he was gone but it did the opposite. Izuku broke down sobbing in Katsuki's arms clinging to him, staining Katsuki's shirt with his tears. He then stated "I'm so sorry kacchan, I was just trying to not be a burden anymore, I didn't mean to hurt you? I thought you'd be happier if I was gone, I thought I would get rid of your issues if I got rid of myself, because I thought I was your issue? I'm so so so sorry?"
Katsuki held Izuku with a caring look, gently rubbing Izuku's back and playing with Izuku's hair. He made sure Izuku felt safe, comfortable, and protected. Katsuki gave a soft smile and said, "Izuku, you would never be a burden to me, I care about you so much, you are my everything? I just wanted to protect you? I know the way I did it probably wasn't the best way but I knew if you became a hero?. I just didn't want to lose you like that? I guess I still lost you? But I promise Deku, I will protect you this time.. I swear."
Izuku sobbed more, with that they just started silence letting out the emotions, Katsuki letting Izuku sobb into him for hours on end. At around midnight Izuku had fallen asleep in Katsuki's arms and so Katsuki carried Izuku back to his own personal paradise. Katsuki layed Izuku in his bed gently, the the red sheets cradling ixukus sleeping body. Katsuki smiled down at Izuku but then caught himself turning red and he whispered to himself, "Oh Deku? it's been teen years and I still love you?" And with that Katsuki fell asleep holding Izuku close.
The next morning Izuku woke up flustered seeing he was by Katsuki's side and shot up out of bed. Izku then said all red to Katsuki who was just awoken by the sudden movement, "I'm so so sorry Kacchan! I didn't mean to? I was just?"
Katsuki then looked at Izuku with surprise, "Why are you apologizing? You did nothing wrong Deku."
Izuku was flabbergasted, "But I?"
Katsuki chuckled "Fell asleep in my arms? It's nothing really. I quite enjoyed watching you sleep."
With that both boys turned red and Izuku stammered, "I should get home?"
Katsuki then got sad, he just got Izuku back and it felt like he was running away again, getting further out of reach? Again? So Katsuki quickly regained his composure and muttered, "Actually do you think you could stay? Please? For me?"
Izuku was shocked, and that's an understatement, his ex rival, ex enemy, is begging him to stay? This was something Izuku never expected, but nevertheless Izuku layed back down cuddling into Katsuki, both boys now flustered and blushing. Once again falling asleep in eachothers arms cuddling and enjoying the warmth of the soul from the other.
Happily ever after
Chapter 3 Finale
Three months later? At this time Katsuki was living with Izuku in a shared paradise. There was just one problem, neither of them had expressed their feelings to each other. This led to some very awkward moments including awkward cuddling sessions. But everything was going surprisingly smoothly when Katsuki realized Izuku's much tougher and stronger now, And Izuku noticed that Katsuki was no longer a hot-headed bully anymore.
The thing about today being so special was it was Fate Day. Fate day is where every fifty years if you're only a soul you'll be able to see a golden ribbon of fate that will lead you to your soulmate. (Unless your soulmate is still alive, it won't show up at all.)
Currently, Katsuki and Izuku are on the couch waiting for the clock to hit midnight and reveal their soulmate string. Full of anticipation Izuku was bouncing around, fidgeting, babbling, everything and anything to distract him from his rising anxiety. Katsuki just stared at Izuku, finding his energy about this whole thing quite adorable.
Katsuki chuckled, "Jeez Deku you're all over the place, come here."
Izuku now embarrassed and flustered went to Katsuki, but just then Katsuki grabbed Izuku and pulled him into his lap holding Izuku close. Izuku turned about ten shades darker red than before looking at Katsuki's arms wrapped around his waist. Katsuki then started whispering in Izukus's ear down from ten as the clock was about to hit midnight. "Ten? Nine? Eight? Seven? Six? Five? Four? Three? Two? One?"
Just then the strings appear and Izuku gets excited not noticing where it leads, he instantly starts following the excess sting until noticing it leads to Katsuki. Izuku turns red, nearly passing out from shock as Katsuki just chuckles.
Katsuki grinned, "Something wrong?"
Izuku shook his head blushing immensely, cuddling back into Katsuki's body once again. Katsuki held Izuku with such a gentle touch as Izuku squealed with joy and Katsuki giggled at the adorable reaction coming from Izuku.
Izuku looked at Katsuki with wonder in his eyes, "I can't believe it, Kacchan! We're soulmates! Isn't that amazing?!"
Katsuki chuckled, "It is, wanna know why?"
Izuku tilted his head like a curious puppy, "Why Kacchan?"
Katsuki smiled, "Because Izuku? I love you? And always have?"
Izuku was stunned once again by some of Katsuku's words as that was the last thing he expected but Izuku smiled, "I love you too Katsuki?"
With that the two lovers rested peacefully in their paradise, getting married about two years after figuring out they were soulmates. The Wedding was huge and green and orange-themed, the boys favorite colors. They spent the rest of eternity together, taking in some lost children's souls on the way.
"I love you, my Deku?"
"I love you too, my Kacchan?"
