Chapter 2 The Girl

In The Present 2024, a young and handsome police officer, finishes his shift and gets into his car to head home. However, his car suddenly breaks down on the way. Stepping out to check, he finds that one of the tires is punctured. He calls a mechanic and decides to take the bus home, planning to return to get his car after it's repaired.

It's around 5 PM when he boards the bus. He sits down, but after a while, he notices a beautiful woman ahead of him. The hero feels shy, glancing at her from time to time but unsure whether to approach or speak to her. The woman soon realizes that a man has been watching her, and although she notices him, she doesn't make a move.

After some time, the woman's bus stop arrives, and she leaves, leaving the hero feeling disappointed that he didn't speak to her. Later that night, as he lies in bed, he can't stop thinking about her. He realizes that she is probably working and takes the bus both to and from work every day.

The next day, the hero hopes to see her again. He arrives early, searching for her at the bus stop, but she's not there. He feels disappointed but brushes it off, heading to his police station for work.

When his shift ends that evening, the hero gets into his car and starts driving home. As he drives, he notices the same bus from the day before ahead of him. Curious, he speeds up to overtake the bus, and as he does, he spots her again. This time, instead of waiting for another opportunity, he drives ahead to the bus stop, stops his car, and gets on the bus. While boarding, he calls his friend to take the car home for him.

The hero gets on the bus and sits in the same seat he was in the day before. To his surprise, the girl also sits in the same seat, and now they're even closer. The hero can't help but glance at her frequently, his heart racing. The girl notices him looking again, just like the day before. This time, she smiles at him, breaking the tension.

The hero's hands start to sweat as he gathers the courage to say something, but before he can, the girl's bus stop arrives, and she leaves. The hero is left disappointed once again.

Later, the hero goes home, refreshes, eats dinner, and then lies in bed thinking about the girl. His mind is consumed by thoughts of her as he drifts off to sleep.

At the same time, a car is speeding down the road. It's not clear who is inside, but in the trunk of the car, there is a girl. Her mouth and hands are tied, and she is unconscious. The car drives toward an abandoned place, where there is no traffic. The driver stops the car, gets out, and opens the trunk. He lifts the unconscious girl out of the trunk and carries her to the abandoned location.

The driver brutally kills the girl, but the hero remains unaware of the horrific event. He is still sleeping peacefully, completely oblivious to the danger that is unfolding.

As the hero goes through his morning routine, he can't shake the image of the girl from the bus. Her smile lingers in his mind, and he wonders if he'll get another chance to talk to her. He finishes getting ready and heads out the door, determined not to let the day slip by without at least trying to speak to her if he sees her again.

The morning seems ordinary, and the ride to work is quiet. The hero arrives at the station and starts his shift, but his thoughts keep drifting back to her. Despite the bustle of the day, he feels distracted, his mind constantly returning to the memory of the girl on the bus.

By the time his shift is over, the sun is setting, and the hero finds himself on his usual drive home. As he makes his way through the streets, he spots a familiar bus up ahead. His heart races a little, and he wonders if today might be the day he finally has a chance to speak to her.

As the hero heads to work, his mind is still preoccupied with thoughts of the girl from the bus. He tries to focus on his duties, but he can't help glancing at the clock, waiting for the end of his shift.

Finally, the time comes. His shift is over, and he heads out of the station, eager to get home. As he walks toward his car, something catches his eye. The familiar bus that he's been hoping to see is right in front of him, heading down the street. His heart skips a beat as he watches it approach.

The hero, feeling a surge of excitement, quickly gets out of his car and runs toward the bus. He reaches it just in time, breathing heavily as he climbs aboard. His eyes immediately search for her - the girl he's been thinking about constantly, the one with the smile that made his heart race.

But when he looks around, his hopes crash. She's not there. The seat where she had sat the past few days is empty. His heart sinks as he moves to take a seat, feeling a mix of disappointment and confusion.

The bus continues on its route, but the hero can't shake the feeling that something isn't right.

Just as the hero settles into his seat, feeling the weight of disappointment, he hears a soft voice behind him. He turns around quickly, and to his surprise, there she is - standing just behind him. Their eyes meet, and she gives him a warm, knowing smile.

The hero's heart skips a beat as he realizes she had been there all along, just waiting for the right moment. Her smile feels like a reassurance, like a sign that fate hasn't turned its back on him after all.

He's momentarily speechless, his nerves flaring up once again, but this time, he's determined. With a slight blush on his face, he gathers the courage to speak.

"Hi," he says softly, trying to steady his voice. "I'm glad I finally got to see you again."

The girl's smile widens, and the bus ride continues, but this time, there's a sense of connection between them - a small spark of something unexpected.

The girl's simple response, "Hi," is soft yet confident. Her smile remains, and for a moment, the world outside the bus seems to fade away. The hero's heart races as he finds himself lost in her eyes. It feels like everything around them slows down, as if this moment has been building up for days.

He gathers his thoughts, trying to figure out what to say next, but for a second, all he can think about is how to keep the conversation going. He smiles nervously, hoping this will be the start of something meaningful.

"Do you always take this bus at this time?" he asks, trying to sound casual.

The girl nods, still smiling. "Yeah, it's the only one that fits my schedule. What about you?" she asks, her curiosity shining through.

The hero feels a slight wave of relief. The conversation is flowing, and he's finally getting the chance to speak with her. As the bus rumbles on, he realizes this could be the start of something special.

As the hero introduces himself, saying, "Sorry, my name is Muzakkir. What about you?" the girl begins to open her mouth to respond, but before she can, the bus suddenly jolts violently. Passengers gasp and grip onto anything they can as the bus swerves uncontrollably.

Muzakkir instinctively reaches out to steady her as the bus crashes into something, sending a shockwave of fear through everyone onboard. The force of the crash throws Muzakkir and the girl off balance, and the lights flicker as the bus comes to an abrupt stop.

The chaos inside the bus intensifies as Muzakkir surveys the scene. The violent jolt of the crash has left most of the passengers injured. Some are bleeding, others are struggling to stay conscious, and cries of pain fill the air. Muzakkir's heart races, but he forces himself to focus.

He turns to check on the girl, but his stomach drops when he sees her. She's slumped in her seat, her head resting against the window. Her face is pale, and she isn't responding. Muzakkir rushes to her side, gently shaking her shoulder, but she remains unconscious. Her breathing is shallow, and he can feel the panic rising in his chest.

He looks around in a panic, trying to assess the situation. The bus is badly damaged, and there's no sign of help yet. The other passengers are in varying degrees of distress, but he knows he needs to get to the girl first. He takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

"Stay with me," he whispers to her, though he knows she can't hear him. "Please, stay with me."

Muzakkir's mind races with questions. What caused the crash? Was it an accident, or was there something more sinister at play? And why did the girl seem to be the one most affected by the crash?

With no time to waste, he decides he has to get her out of the bus. He carefully lifts her, trying to remain as gentle as possible, and begins to make his way toward the emergency exit. His heart is pounding in his chest - he's no longer just trying to find out who she is, he's trying to save her.

Muzakkir, with his heart racing, knows he can't just focus on the girl. As he holds her in his arms, he takes a quick glance around the bus. Many of the passengers are injured, some with broken limbs, others with deep cuts and bruises. The scene is chaotic, and he can't afford to waste any time.

He carefully lowers the girl onto the floor, ensuring she's in a safe position, before moving toward the other passengers. His training as a police officer kicks in, and he begins to assess the situation, helping the injured where he can. He applies pressure to a wound on a man's leg, keeps another woman calm who's panicking from the pain, and tries to support a man who's struggling to stay conscious.

His hands are shaking, but Muzakkir does everything he can to stabilize the people around him. As he helps another injured passenger, he hears the sound of footsteps approaching. Civilian bystanders, who've heard the crash, start rushing toward the bus.

One of them pulls out a phone and immediately calls 911. Muzakkir hears the muffled voice of the dispatcher on the other end as the civilian gives them the details of the accident. "We need emergency services ASAP! There are injuries, and some people are unconscious," the civilian says, their voice shaking.

Within minutes, the sound of sirens can be heard in the distance. Muzakkir, feeling a rush of relief, continues to help where he can. He knows it won't be long before the emergency services arrive. As the sirens grow louder, Muzakkir's focus stays on the girl, who remains unconscious on the floor. He's done all he can for the others for now, but she's still his main concern.

The ambulance and paramedics arrive moments later, rushing into the bus. They immediately take charge, offering assistance to the injured and assessing the severity of everyone's condition.

Muzakkir steps aside, allowing the professionals to work. But his mind remains on the girl. What happened? How could something so ordinary as a bus ride turn into this?

As the paramedics load the injured into ambulances, Muzakkir finds himself staring at the girl, hoping she'll wake up soon and that the worst is behind them. But deep down, he knows the answers to the questions swirling in his mind may lead to even darker truths.

As the ambulance arrives and the paramedics quickly move into action, they begin treating the injured passengers. Muzakkir, though injured himself, insists on helping where he can. His own injuries - a deep gash on his arm and some bruising - aren't enough to stop him from thinking about the girl.

The paramedics check him over quickly, wrapping his arm in bandages and assessing his condition. But his mind isn't focused on his own pain. His eyes keep drifting toward the girl, who's still unconscious. They load both him and the girl into the same ambulance, where the sirens wail as they rush to the hospital.

As the ambulance speeds through the streets, Muzakkir finds himself seated beside her. He watches her closely, his heart aching. Her face is pale, and she remains unresponsive, but there's a part of him that refuses to give up.

The paramedics are working to stabilize her, but Muzakkir can't stop thinking about the life she might have. He knows nothing about her, but in these few moments of shared experience, his heart has become inexplicably tied to hers. His eyes tear up as the weight of the situation hits him.

He feels helpless. What if something happens to her? What if she doesn't wake up?

A paramedic, noticing his concern, glances at him. "She's in stable condition for now, but we need to get her to the hospital quickly," the paramedic reassures him. Muzakkir nods, but it doesn't ease the worry gnawing at him.

The sound of the sirens becomes almost deafening in his mind, drowning out everything else. Muzakkir leans back, trying to steady his breath, but his thoughts are consumed by the girl. He needs her to be okay. He needs to know who she is, why she made such an impact on him in just a short amount of time.

With the weight of his concern hanging heavy in his chest, the ambulance races toward the hospital, carrying both him and the girl, their fates now intertwined in ways neither of them could have ever predicted.

As the ambulance rushes down the road, Muzakkir begins to feel the effects of his head injury. At first, he tries to stay alert, keeping his focus on the girl beside him. But the blood loss and the pain from the gash on his head start to catch up with him. His vision blurs, and his head feels heavy.

The paramedics notice his deteriorating state. "Stay with us, officer," one of them says, trying to keep him conscious. But Muzakkir can feel his body growing weaker with each passing second. His breaths become shallow, and he can't shake the dizziness overwhelming him.

His heart pounds in his chest, and for a brief moment, he hears the soft sound of the girl's breathing beside him. He reaches out weakly, as if to grasp onto something to hold on to, but his body refuses to obey. His head spins, and before he can say another word, the darkness overtakes him.

Muzakkir slips into unconsciousness, the world fading around him. The paramedics quickly take action, trying to stabilize him as best they can. "He's going into shock," one of them murmurs, working urgently to secure an IV line and apply pressure to his head injury.

But it's too late. Muzakkir's pulse weakens, and his breathing becomes irregular. His body slips further into unconsciousness, and the paramedics realize the gravity of the situation.

As the ambulance speeds on, Muzakkir drifts into a coma, his mind drifting into a fog, leaving him unaware of the world around him. His thoughts are filled with fragments of the girl, the bus, the crash - but everything fades as he loses consciousness, completely vulnerable in the hands of fate.

The girl, still unconscious, is just a few feet away from him, and the ambulance races on, carrying both their lives toward an uncertain future.
