When a sudden storm destroyed Mzee Simba's garden, Nia and Kito felt disheartened. "Why does this happen even when we try so hard?" Kito asked. Baba Juma reminded them of James 1:2-3:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

With renewed courage, the siblings replanted the garden, using stronger supports for the plants. This time, they saw their hard work bear fruit - literally and spiritually.

Reflection

"God allows trials to make us stronger," said Mama Amina. "When we lean on Him, we grow resilient."
