Chapter 8

Over the next six days after the war on Perditus, the deities rearranged the governments and their workings. They met with the people, answering their questions and helping them adjust. Catori, Vivia and Genarius worked with Orcus to heal the immortui, helping them recover and slowly reintegrating those who were fully recovered back into society. The angelum worked closely with the deities, helping take care of the details of the changes that needed to be made. On the sixth day since the deities extinguished the Venator, Alanna and Aimil went back to Ubertas to spend tine with their family. They'd even gotten to introduce Leomaris and Sergius to the family. It was almost time to return those that had previously passed and brought back temporarily back to post vitam. Aimil's parents, Valeria and Silestino, spent time with their son and his wife's family since they'd had time to get to know each other. Hilarid and Fae had also had quite a lot of time together. Most of the ancestors had gotten time to visit their descendants and spend some time with them.

On the seventh day, Alanna, Aimil and the other deities brought the multiverse and the realms back into alignment as it had been before. They placed guardians at the gates to ensure that those who crossed back and forth the different worlds didn't cause any harm or bear ill will to their inhabitants. Once again, the worlds were bustling with magic, full of colors whose existence had been long forgotten. A lot of mundanes got the chance to travel between the worlds and the realms, guided by some of the angelum and spirituum, in awe of the wonders they never even knew existed. This was the day the ancestors and those who'd passed and had been brought back temporarily had to go back to post vitam. Alanna had sent most of those who were on Ubertas back by noon. She'd wanted to give Valeria, Silestino, Claire and Fae some extra time to say goodbye and to share a meal as a family before she sent them back. They stood at the beach with their loved ones after a merry lunch, bidding each other their farewells. "We're so proud of you, son. We're grateful we got to spend some time with you and have a happy parting," Valeria said through happy tears as she held Aimil in a warm embrace. "You've done really well with Alanna. If you hurt her I'll come back to haunt you, God or no," Silestino said as he held back his tears, clasping his son's shoulders. A few feet away stood Hilarid and Fae, locked in a loving embrace. "Be happy amor. Don't shut yourself off from love," Fae said to Hilarid who was sobbing on her shoulder. "I hadn't realized how much I'd needed to see you until you were brought here. I'm glad we get to say goodbye on our own terms," he whispered into her neck through his tears. "This isn't goodbye amor. Just a see you later," Fae said pulling back slightly to cup his face between her hands as she kissed his forehead.

"It was really great to see you grandma," Emilia said with a smile, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears as she hugged Claire. "You too lassy. I'll be watching over you until we meet again," Claire replied. Lorence was only a few steps from his wife, bidding his grandfather farewell. Once Claire had said her goodbyes to her granddaughter, she went to find Alanna. "My dear, dear friend!" She said, hugging her tightly. "I'm really glad I got to see you, even if just for a short time," Alanna said to her. "With all that godly business you had to take care of, I'm just glad we got to see each other," Claire said laughingly. "I'll see you soon, my friend. And I won't have to die to do so," Alanna said with a chuckle as the two friends laughed together. Once the tearful goodbyes were over, Valeria, Silestino, Fae, Claire and Lorence's grandfather stepped into the open portal that awaited them. Even Orin had gotten a chance to see his wife again and get some closure.

"Leomaris! Sergius!" Alanna called happily as she ran towards the two gentlemen at the docks with Aimil behind her trying to catch up. "Are you leaving already?" She asked. "No, domina mea, we'll be here a few more days before we go back out to sea," Leomaris said with a warm smile. "Swell!" Alanna cheered. "I'll see you at the family dinner by the beach," she said as she took Aimil's hand, walking back to the table where their family was seated. "So, Alanna, any ideas for your honeymoon?" Ava asked as they shared some mead. Aimil and Alanna exchanged a look before Alanna answered, "We've decided we'll travel around through the realms." "More adventurous that way. If you ask me, I've been reconsidering going on a second honeymoon with my mella here since the realignment of the realms. See other worlds together, you know," Ava said, her hands ruffling Ries's curls who responded by pulling her onto his lap. "Did we ever tell you we had our honeymoon here after our Unio ceremony?" Ava asked. "No you did not! Suddenly a lot of things make so much sense!" Alanna answered dramatically, her hands going up to her cheeks as she feigned surprise, making the table laugh. "Vallen, Mateo, why don't you bring your 'possibly' special friends to dinner this evening. I'd love to meet them before Aimil and I go off for our honeymoon," Alanna whispered to her cousins, leaning across the table so the rest wouldn't hear them, making them go flush. "We have news! Lorence and I are expecting!" Emilia announced happily as she stood to show her small but growing bump. Alanna leaped from her chair and hugged her and Aimil happily clasped Lorence shoulder while the family cheered and gave their congratulations.

That afternoon Alanna and Aimil, along with a few members of her family went flew around with the sylph, only to go to the water when they returned. "I can't wait for our honeymoon!" Alanna squealed excitedly as she splashed at Aimil. "And I can't wait to make love to you in every realm and world we visit!" Aimil growled playfully as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to him. "I love you, vir meus," Alanna whispered into his ear as she nipped at his lobe, making his body shiver. "I love you, uxor mea, more than you'll ever know," Aimil whispered back, burying his face in her neck. "I guess you'll have to spend the rest of this life and eternity showing me, because I want to know just how much you love me," Alanna mumbled against his warm skin. That evening, Alanna and Aimil had dinner with the family before going up to their ship which had officially become their love nest. "I better get a headstart on showing you how much I love you," Aimil said, pulling Alanna to him and capturing her lips in a heated kiss.

6 Months Later

Alanna was seated on Aimil's lap with her legs around his waist while he held her to him on their front porch that faced the shores of Perditus, enjoying a fine afternoon. Alanna and Aimil had come back from their honeymoon five months ago to find her family had moved out of the inn the'd been living in and into newly built homes of their own that resembled the ones they'd had back at Ortus, including Orin, Emilia and Lorence who were now part of the family. They were also surprised with their own fully furnished home near the several family homes. Even their wedding gifts had been unpacked and carefully organized into the home. Alanna had been so happy she couldn't stop zooming in and out of the rooms just admiring every inch of their new home. "We're neighbors!" Emilia had squealed excitedly as she hugged Alanna tightly, the two dancing around the house while Aimil and Lorence chuckled at their antics.

"Are you sleepy mella?" Aimil asked as he rubbed Alanna's back. Alanna hummed and kissed Aimil's neck. "Are you hungry?" He asked her. "Ugh! Always!" Alanna grumbled lowly. Aimil chuckled at her response and stood up, holding her close as he carried her into the house and sat her on the kitchen counter while he whipped up one of her favorite snacks. "What do you think we should name the babies?" Aimil asked as he held a cup of pomegranate juice to her lips. Alanna gasped, her eyes wide as she stared at him. "How did you know?" "Our bond deliciae, I found out we were having twins when you did," Aimil answered with a smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, right," Alanna said with a smile. Aimil fed his beautiful wife, occasionally bending to kiss her now round pregnant belly and whispering to the twins as they kicked at the sound of his voice.

When Alanna was satisfied, Aimil picked her up and portaled them into their bedroom, laying her down on the large bed they shared. Alanna tightened her arms around his neck, kissing him softly. "Stay," she mumbled against his soft lips. "I'm not going anywhere mella," Aimil answered as he kissed her back. Suddenly his clothes were ripped from his body and he looked down at Alanna's face to find her smirking up at him, batting her eyes at him innocently with a glint in her eyes that was anything but. "Mea Dea, I thought you were sleepy," Aimil said with a chuckle. "I changed my mind," Alanna whispered with a sly grin as she slid her dress off. Aimil's eyes darkened as he looked at her bare body, inhaling sharply. "Mea Dea, you know better than to tease me," he breathed. "Who's teasing?" Alanna raised a brow at him, spreading her legs so he could see her, making him groan out loud at the sight of a soaked core as he knelt before her. She was a nymph on a normal day but since she got pregnant her libido seemed to be on steroids, and as it was with them, so was his. "Brace yourself then mella, it's time for me to have my meal," he growled as his mouth enclosed over her weeping core.

3 Years Later

"Momma! Momma!" Caelia and Celio giggled at Alanna, their iridescent gold and silver wings flapping as they flew in the air with Aimil flying right beneath them with his wings spread out, ready to catch them in case of anything while Alanna flew right above them. It had been three and a half years since the world had changed. The adjusting period was over as things ran smoothly in and between the worlds and realms. The huntings were over and the Donatus were no longer living in fear or hiding. The magical beings no longer had to hide in hidden realms either and the deities were no longer an obscure idea. Caelia and Celio, Alanna and Aimil's twins were growing fast. Their magic had started showing and their magical tattoos appearing when they were just toddlers. Alanna and Aimil's family cared for and protected the twins wholeheartedly. Emilia and Lorence had a three year-old boy named Gaius and a two year-old girl named Benecia. Vallen and Mateo had their unio ceremonies to Journi and Adulio respectively when the twins turned two. Journi had given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Leta just a few months after. Gaius, Caelia and Celio dotted on Benecia and Leta whenever the family got together. Eva and Janan were often traveling and Ava and Ries followed suit. Hilarid had remarried to a wonderful woman named Nahlia while Orin had gone ahead to build an inn near the docks just like he had in Transivitus.

The family often had family dinners every two days and family trips every so often when they decided to. The other deities often came to Alanna and Aimil's home whenever their family had dinners and events. Alanna had somewhat 'adopted' them into her huge family, not that they minded. Many magical beings also had a tendency to gravitate towards her and her family and she welcomed them warmly. They too, had become part of her family over time. She and her family gave the idea of family a whole new meaning. As they watched the love they shared for each other and the way they supported each other, the deities started to understand why Alanna had insisted on her incarnations. It wasn't just about her family, she had spread the same spirit that her family shared to the worlds. Something about her brought all kinds of beings together in the best way. They were happy to be around to see her be happy after everything she'd gone through over her lifetimes. Alanna and Aimil were happy, after lifetimes riddled with countless challenges, they'd finally done it. They'd achieved their purpose.

The End.
