One crisp morning, Ruffus made up his mind. "Today is the day," he whispered to himself as the sun's golden rays filtered through the leaves above. He had been planning for weeks. He would leave the colony, just for a little while, to venture into the unknown.

But before he could slip away unnoticed, his best friend, Tiny, caught sight of him. "Ruffus! Where are you going?" Tiny asked, eyes wide with concern.

Ruffus smiled. "I'm going on an adventure. There's so much I've heard about the world outside the colony. I want to see it all."

Tiny shook his head. "But what if something happens to you? The world outside is dangerous! We have to work for the queen, remember?"

Ruffus nodded. "I know. But I have to do this, Tiny. I have to see it for myself."
