Ch. 1
[Scene opens with Saori Painting in a room wide open, exposing the daylight on the tree she is painting]
Saori POV
-Thinking to herself-
"I always enjoy peaceful days like these, the stillness of the wind on the branches is always visible, it's really a feeling to capture such calmness. Painting is to me, my escape. it's the meaning that intrigues me. No matter how hard the canvas pushes, the brush continues to paint a beautiful picture, poetic, isn't it?"
[ Just then, a Driveway motion noise is heard, as two cars pull up. Saori who is sitting at her painting seat acknowledges this]
"Oh, He must be home. But so early? I should hurry up"
[Once she makes her way to the door, she is followed by her housemaid, Hima who begins to worry after her]
Hima: Please lady Saori, you should really call on me when you want to move, what if you were to fall!
[Knowing how Hima is, Saori lets out a small chuckle with words of reassurance]
Hima: I'm fine Hima, I promise, if I can't do anything else, I can at least welcome my husband home at the door.
[Hima lets out a fatigued sigh and just then, the door pulls wide open. Hima bows as she is heard greeting the two men walking in]
Hima: Welcome Sir Sao, Sir Jihu.
[Hearing Himas voice was a signal for Saori as she now bowed and spoke
Saori: Welcome home...Hun...Honey.
[Sao Kang, CEO of Multibillion company, JARVIS, walked into the house, followed by his best friend and business partner Jihu Yoon. Upon his entrance, Sao removed his suit while Lady Hima ran to his side to hold onto it. all while keeping the focus on doing so, paying no attention to his welcoming party. He then walked ahead almost passing a bowing Saori, and without looking at her, hestood side by side in the opposite direction]
Sao: "You look...Awful" he says.
"It wasn't like I was surprised; this is how it usually is. My husband is cold to me, so cold I almost feel I could never be close enough to light a candle of warmth to him. All I could do was smile.
[Unable to fully subside a sense of shock from Saoris body, she remained bowing, allowing Sao to continue speaking]
Sao: I understand very well you're blind, but you can at least look well kept can't you?
[With that being said, Sao casually made his way down the hall and into the living room. Silence illuminated the room as a familiar scent to Saori, appeared near her. The man stood near her as he held her shoulder to gently urge her up from bowing.]
Jihu: Dont strain your back, he's gone
"That Scent, it must be Jihu Yoon, my husband's best friend. Knowing Jihu was here today was almost comforting. He's always been so kind and understanding towards me. I've always thanked him for that."
[Knowing Jihu has always been kind and understanding towards her, Saori let out a gentle smile as she listened on to Jihus words]
Jihu: Listen, he's had a stressful day
[Feeling almost embarrassed Saori can do nothing but damage control as she speaks out of turn, accepting her fault]
Saori: Oh no its nothing, he...hes right. I probably should have tidied up a bit
[A few moments go by as Jihus eyes set on Saori, almost as though his pity held on to her for dear life. Breaching the silence, Jihu spoke up]
Jihu: Don't hold it against him....Okay, Saori?
[With her usual smile, Saori nods and accepts]
"I never do, no matter how hard he pushes back, I always try to paint.. a beautiful picture."
[With that, Jihu walks away following Sao. Once walking intothe living room, Jihu sees his friend behind the bar pouring a drink, he drops his briefcase on the couch and scolds his friend]
Jihu: What was that about this time around? Her hair was well groomed, her clothes were ironed, and she smelled like a garden of fucking roses, what was so unkept this time huh?
Sao: You sure are paying too close attention to another man's wife Jihu, tell you what, just because you're like a brother to me, I'll give her to you if you really care so much, that's how special you are to me
Jihu: Cut the crap, I'm serious, what did that girl ever do to you
Sao: Besides coming in the form of a contract? Nothing. I never wanted this union to begin with and with the merge of WebTech and JARVIS, both she and her family benefitted from me. What was I left with? A blind wife. I'm a business man Jihu, and this deal cost me a big loss.
Jihu: Enough with that, you say it like it's her fault. She tries really hard and you should know this more than anyone, in our world She's Just a victim of circumstances, business collateral
Sao: My Offers still on the table if you're interested
[Within the documents pulled out while Jihus talking, he throws a pen at Sao's head for the comment as he lets out a chuckle]
Jihu: the only thing wrong with her is she looks tired all the time, that's mostly your fault for not taking better care of her. Im Just saying you could at least be a little nicer
[Sao comes from behind the bar with two drinks, and hands them to Jihu as he takes a sip of his]
Sao: I stay out of her way; she should do the same. If she wants a kindhusband, she's free to find it elsewhere. She's a signature to me on a piece of paper. Now can we talk about more important matters and our expansions
[Sao sits down, The guys begin to go through paperwork and discuss. Saori walks in with a tray of two iced teas, followed by Ms. Hima]
"I thought to myself that I should bring them some iced tea, I know it's his favorite thing to drink. Maybe if his day was stressful this would help."
Saori: Excuse me, I...I hope I'm not interrupting but...I thought you two could use some refreshers after a long day
[Annoyed but still focused on his work, Sao responds]
Sao: Im sure you know we're working, ive told you never to bother me while I'm busy
[Stunned, Saori agrees and apologizes]
Saori: You're right...I'm sorry, I just wanted to....
Sao: Put it down and go
[as Saori begins to put it down, she accidentally trips forward, leaving the drink to spill in the air onto the table, falling forward to the ground]
"Oh no, why'd this have to happen to me now?"
[As the loud crash occurred, tea spilled on the papers and on Sao and Jihu, shock appeared on the faces of everyone. As the noise settled, a stone-cold rage expression displayed on Sao's face as he stood up in anger. Noticing Sao's anger, Jihu let out a sigh, almost as though prepared for what's to come]
