Some years ago, when I was in year 1, I had the opportunity to meet great people like the U.N.N Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Dean of Student Affairs, about 5 faculty deans, heads of departments, and other disguised men, all in suits. Truly, each time I remember the day, fear grips me because I met all these people at the same time, in a bad moment.

U.N.N, just like other federal universities, has stations or places for free use of WiFi, mostly accessible with a registered school password. As a new student, I did not have the UNN password, so I was told by a friend that there was WiFi without a password around the Vice-Chancellor's office. I began going there to the extent that I made a lot of friends there. We knew our different sitting positions and kinds of gossip there.

One Saturday morning, after one of the rehearsal classes I had, which started from 7 am to 10 am, I found myself using the WiFi in that V.C area. That was the day I met for the first time the man called Prof. Charles Igwe, the Vice chancellor of UNN.

As I was resting on the small wall and busy watching online videos beside the small pathway, I saw a group of old men, about 25 of them in suits, walking in twos like people in a hurry to defecate. I was hearing the sound of their unpolished shoes as they sounded "kpo kpo kpo". For me, I viewed them as wedding guests because there is a hall beside the place I was known for every Saturday wedding. I greeted the first two people, and they responded. As the shoe sounds were still loud in my ear, I raised my head and greeted more people.

After about 15 seconds, I
heard a loud voice shouting at me and my WiFi friends. The man happened to be the only face I recognized. He is a professor and as well the Dean of Student Affairs. He began to voice out his anger to the extent of saying that we could not greet the Almighty V.C of UNN. I looked up and saw the dark man for the first time, who always appeared bright in our school magazines that I had seen.

I could not say any word because I was already scared of meeting those men in a bad moment. One of the WiFi users, who didn't look like a student, replied "Oga no dey shout for me, na by force to greet?" The dean rushed to hold the guy's collar, and he ran out immediately. The VC and his entourage gazed at us who couldn't run.

One of us who was still pressing his phone was asked his department and level. Immediately, he said it, his faculty dean appeared to see the student. The next voice of the Dean of Student Affairs that made me remember that I came from Onitsha through Peace Park to Nsukka was "Do you people know that I can comfortably expell you all out of this school?" Immediately, I began to beg, telling the man that I greeted the people in front. Some of them began to laugh at me. Then the dean asked me my level. Immediately I told him, the VC told the dean to overlook our actions because of innocent me. Immediately they left, I ran back to my place without thinking to visit that spot again.
