Doing a comparison between mountain and sea is always controversial - few are fascinated by mountain jungles, waterfalls, narrow steep roads and few like me are fascinated by the sea - calm on the shores but far from the shore it fights , it is slightly bipolar - one moment your eyes will visualize it as tired and depressed but the next moment it will turn anxious and angry - this uncertainty of character attracts me like a magnet.
The Sea is calling on you -
Jump off the Boat
And submerge yourself
In my fine waters
I read about Sea by the poet Rumi long time ago but these four lines still keep my obsession going for never ending water bed -
Sea reminds me of her , my late wife - Samiksha and the memories attached to our romance which started here , we used to walk across the shores on the white sands where I am standing right now, holding our hands along with the radiant beauty of a sunset - a magnificent gift of nature.
It's been almost five years now - she has left Akansha our daughter as a sign of our love who always keep the presence alive within me.
I never thought of getting married again - only thing which kept me moving was Change and I have adapted to it - loving and caring for Akansha gives me the pleasure and self-content from within.
Today is our anniversary and for the past three years I have been coming here with my daughter , to the same place from where me and her mother`s romance started.
"Daddy , what are you doing here ?"
Akansha was running around with both her hand like airplane wings on the empty white sand beach - once she got bugged being an airplane she came and jumped into my lap - I kept the notebook aside and caught her - I smiled and said "Daddy was wishing mummy from here"
She sat straight on my lap and looked towards the sun - bright orange and yellow in its intensity and yet the edges of the sky has cooled down with the indigo of the night , sun is bidding us goodbye and making way for the moon to rise - looking at the sinking sun behind the horizon of the sea she asked innocently "Where is mummy ?"
Kissing on her cheek , I pointed my finger towards the sun and said " There is mummy , common say good evening to her"
She shouted "Good evening mummy"
She was sitting on my lap - I wrapped both my arms tightly across her and gave a kiss on her forehead and said "Love you my little angel"
