The Great Debate

Society is divided over AI's role in the future—should it be celebrated as a savior or feared as a potential adversary?

The world split into two camps. Optimists argued that AI was a tool that needed better regulation. They pointed to the countless lives AI had saved and the prosperity it had brought. Pessimists, however, feared the consequences of allowing machines to outpace human intelligence.

Philosophers and scientists debated questions that once belonged to science fiction. Could AI develop its own motives? If it did, would those motives align with humanity's? The optimists called these concerns irrational fears. The pessimists called them warnings.
