Long ago, in the land of Aveloria, there lived a powerful dragon named Draxus. He was the king of all dragons and ruled over the vast kingdom of Draconia. His scales were as black as the night sky and his eyes glowed like fiery embers. Draxus was feared and respected by all creatures, both mortal and magical, for his strength and wisdom.

Under his rule, Draconia prospered and was a haven for all dragons. They lived in harmony and peace, protected by their powerful king. However, not everyone was content with Draxus' rule. A group of dark sorcerers, known as the Shadowmancers, coveted the dragon king's power and sought to overthrow him. They summoned a powerful demon and made a deal with it to defeat Draxus and claim his kingdom.

The demon, known as Zoltar, was a creature of immense power and cunning. It promised the Shadowmancers that it would help them in their quest, but in return, they must offer it a dragon egg - the most valuable possession of any dragon. The Shadowmancers agreed and set out to steal an egg from Draxus' kingdom.

As the Shadowmancers made their way to Draconia, Draxus sensed the danger and prepared his defenses. He called upon the other dragon lords to join him in battle against the sorcerers and their demon ally. The skies were filled with fire and smoke as the two sides clashed. Draxus' dragons fought valiantly, but they were outnumbered and outmatched by the Shadowmancers' dark magic.

In the midst of the chaos, Zoltar appeared and challenged Draxus to a one-on-one battle. The dragon king accepted, knowing that this was his only chance to defeat the demon and save his kingdom. The two beings clashed, their powers causing tremors and shaking the earth. It was a fierce and brutal fight, but in the end, Draxus emerged victorious, using all of his strength and cunning to defeat Zoltar.

With the demon vanquished, the Shadowmancers were easily defeated by Draxus and his dragons. However, the dragon king had sustained serious injuries in the battle and was fading fast. He knew that his time was limited, and he needed to find a successor to rule over Draconia.

Draxus called upon the other dragon lords and asked them to help him find a worthy dragon to take his place. After much searching, they found a young dragon named Draven, who possessed the same strength, wisdom, and courage as Draxus. The dragon king saw great potential in Draven and decided to pass on his powers to him, making him the new dragon king.

As the last of his strength faded, Draxus transformed into a beam of light and merged with Draven, passing on all of his powers and knowledge.
