Enter EVE followed by ADAM from the LEFT. Walking away from an immense marble wall.

ADAM is CONFUSED and LOST whereas EVE is PURPOSEFUL and DETERMINED.

ADAM and EVE have just been kicked out of the Garden of Eden and ADAM is struggling to get his head around some of the instructions they had received from DEITY, making him a BIT TWITCHY.

EVE

Come on! It can't be that hard to understand.

EVE stops walking and turns to ADAM, who walks straight into EVE.

ADAM scratches his head whilst looking around the world they have now walked out on.

THE WORLD is mostly yellow with sand with specks of green grass and waist-height bushes of which EVE and ADAM now find themselves standing amongst.

ADAM

Yes, yes I think it is! When he said "by the sweat of thy brow", what did he mean?! Is my brow the breadwinner now?! Up to now, we were just eating straight off the pig's hind!

EVE

Yeah, I am not quite sure he appreciated that.

EVE giggles to herself.

EVE

Anyway, He meant exactly that! "By the sweat of thy brow"!

ADAM

It has got to have some kind of deep meaning to it though! He can't mean that we have to sweat to have food.

EVE

No ADAM! He means that we will have to work hard for the food on our table!

There is a beat of silence.

ADAM

Ah alright, I guess that does make more sense but now I have another question.

EVE rolls her eyes.

EVE

Go on?

ADAM

What is a table?

EVE breathes deeply and exhales through her nose but gives no response.

ADAM groans and they both carry on walking.

ADAM

Does that mean now? Cause I am sweating a lot! That has to mean the all-you-can-eat tiger buffet is on its way!

EVE

Ok, ok, ok! Why don't you set up an altar and I will try and scavenge some food for us?

ADAM

Fine!

IT IS DARK now and ADAM is sat by a fire with some meat hanging over the top of it whilst EVE breathlessly climbs up the hill towards ADAM holding what looks like a bird.

ADAM

That took you a while!

EVE

Maybe you should try camping out in a bird's nest waiting for the mummy bird to come home!

EVE is visibly angry but then notices the big piece of meat that ADAM is now chewing.

EVE

And where exactly did you get that from?

ADAM

Just around the corner. It was this terrifyingly horrifying beast that just stood there and went: "Moo".

ADAM shakes his head and takes another bite.

ADAM

Must be its name! Is that something else we need to do now?

EVE

What?

ADAM

Name things? Man, that's gonna take a while!

EVE

I guess so!

ADAM

So where should we start?

EVE

I guess, we can start with whatever this is we are eating.

ADAM

Well, the Moo greeted me with this thing! Why not M-E-E-T?! No, no! M-Eat! Meat! (Don't want to confuse our meeting with our eating)

EVE

Perfect! We are off to a good start!

ADAM is looking concerned. It is starting to get very dark.

EVE

You are right, we should probably make ourselves some shelter of some kind before it gets too dark!

ADAM runs off to run back 5 minutes later with a small metal tool in his hand (a key).

EVE

Now come on! How is that supposed to help us?

EVE angrily grabs the key from ADAM's hand and hurls it into the trees.

ADAM lowers his head in embarrassment, clearly upset.

CUT TO a two-storey house in the middle of the forest with a working electrical lamp outside and light illuminating from the inside.

CUT BACK TO EVE collecting branches from the nearby trees to be used for shelter and ADAM collecting leaves to cover up the branches.

ADAM

I think that is everything. What do you think?

EVE

Yes, that sounds good.

ADAM and EVE crawl into their small shelter, a humble beginning. Both lay their heads on the small rock placed as a pillow.

ADAM looks upwards, pulling up his head for a closer look.

ADAM

Oh no! There is a hole in the top of the shelter!

EVE reaches for ADAM's hand and holds it tight, ADAM takes a breath and again rests his head.
