The rainy season just had begun. The final bell rang, our paper was over.
Everyone was greeting each other. Some were emotional, were happy about the vacations. I was at the gate of my school looking at them and was waiting for my friend. We both lived in the same apartment complex. We always go home roaming.
I remained to wait for her for nearly 20–30 minutes. I decided to go solo, as the entire school was empty. I thought she left shortly before me. Abruptly it started raining. Consequently, I waited under the school gate. I was baffled since the rain had started, I was late, I did not bring my umbrella.
I overheard her from behind. She was calling my name.
I turnaround.
Sorry for the late, she said.
Unluckily, she did not bring an umbrella either. We had simply one option, which was to get wet in the rain.
We relished that time together. We talk about how our paper went. How well we studied, what are our plan was for the vacations, and so on.
After a mile, we arrived at our apartment.
Till then, the rain paused.
Why not sit in the grass? She asked.
Since we had got soaked, I said, We should go home and change our clothes first, and then we can go to the park.
But she insisted.
Inside the playground, the grass held water droplets across the yard. The atmosphere was dramatically cool down, and the sky had an elegant rainbow in it. I was gazing at the scene.
What beautiful scene it is, isn’t it?
She didn’t utter any word.
I looked at her. She was staring at me.
I asked her. What happened? Is everything is okay? Why are you looking like that?
Because I like you!, She rustled in the back of my ear.
I could not believe that what exactly I heard.
My heart just hoppedthe flow. My brain stayed back for a while. Everything was unusual, uneasy.
Somehow, I eased.
Everything was calm down. Nature was soothing. It was drawing the two of us closer and closer, and finally, we kissed!
It was unplanned. Hence, we ace at it.
My mind has eased a little bit, but not my heart.
Maybe, he found the companion, I think.
