It was the peak of a scorching afternoon. The sun bore down on the world like a punishment, and amidst the sweltering heat, an old man with ragged clothes and faint, hungry eyes limped through the street, begging - not for money, but for food.

One by one, people passed him without care. Some thought, "Someone else will help him." Others wondered, "Why should it be me?"

Even Dian, a famous YouTube vlogger known for social experiment videos, had seen the old man before - but like the rest, he ignored him.

Hours later, as evening dimmed the sky, Dian saw the old man again - this time, collapsed at the roadside. Guilt stirred in his heart. Without hesitation, he rushed to a nearby shop, bought food and water, and returned to help. Gently, he poured water over the man's face and helped him drink. The old man blinked slowly, a soft smile stretching across his cracked lips. He blessed Dian quietly, took the food in trembling hands? and walked away.

But something puzzled Dian.

The old man didn't eat. Even when he was starving, he held the food close and walked faster as if chasing something. Curious, Dian followed, recording everything.

The old man reached an old abandoned bridge. His eyes lit with urgency. And there - under the shadow of broken concrete - lay a pregnant dog, barely breathing.

With the last of his strength, the old man knelt beside her. Just as he reached out, his body gave in - he collapsed. The food tumbled from his hands, the water bottle spilled, trickling onto the dog's face. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open.

Dian ran to the old man, checking his pulse. Nothing.

He was gone.

The dog whimpered, crawled toward the lifeless man, and licked his face, her soft cries echoing through the night. But she didn't eat the food. She stayed by him, mourning.

Hours passed. Dian called an ambulance and arranged for a proper funeral for the man.

The next morning, the dog was found beside his grave, lifeless. She had refused to eat, even in her fragile state.

Dian posted the video on his channel. It went viral.

The people who once ignored the beggar watched with silent guilt.

For the world had lost not just a man, but the kindness they all failed to show.
