Every time I drive by The Bass Pro Shop, I am reminded of the simple clarity of little children. They continue to amaze me as they brush off the clutter that keeps some of us from enjoying simple things.

When my granddaughter was about three years old, I was looking for a new hat. I took her to the Bass Pro Shop at the River View Mall. As we entered the store, the aquarium grabbed our attention.

We were watching the fish when two sportsmen came up and started a conversation. They were discussing between themselves the types of fish that were there. As they went on they became a little more animated as my granddaughter watched.

A small group of people gathered to watch. As they went on, my granddaughter kept looking at them and at the fish. When there was a lull in the conversation, my granddaughter straightened herself up on my shoulder and pointing at the aquarium said in a loud clear voice, "FISH"

The watchers all giggled, the two men looked at each other, smiled, and walked off.

My granddaughter and I left to get my hat, after watching and enjoying the "FISH!"
