Hello, friends.

I hope all is fine with you. I'm thankful you're here today because I want to inspire you with a message about God's faithfulness and the hope it can offer all through uncertain times. Furthermore, I would like to offer a personal story about how trusting God and His promises has altered my perspective on life. My hope is that my experience may encourage you to believe that God will accomplish for you what He has done for me.

I've been a Christian my entire life, and I honestly treasure my faith. Without it, I cannot imagine how I would have resolved some of the difficulties I've faced. A diagnosis in October 2010 profoundly altered my life. After undergoing a nervous breakdown as a result of a terrible experience, I was transported to a psychiatric hospital. Just six days into my hospitalization, the psychiatric hospital diagnosed me with bipolar 1 disorder. I was in my early twenties when I acquired the diagnosis, and it appeared like the end of my life. But God has different plans.

Now, 14 years after that diagnosis and 18 years since I first developed symptoms, I write to testify to God's grace and goodness. Throughout those days, I clutched to Hebrews 10:23, which declares, "Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise." At first, the enemy fought hard to convince me that God had totally forgotten the promises he made to me. My future was uncertain, and anxiety invaded my heart. But, in retrospect, I can see God's hand at work throughout the course of my journey, providing everything I needed to hold fast to His promises. He aided me in many kinds of ways, including financial aid, mental health care, and the provision of loving friends who stood by my side during this dark journey. I am constantly astounded at what He has accomplished over the last 18 years. Today, I am convinced that God has repeatedly demonstrated His trustworthiness in my life, and I am gradually seeing the fruit of His promises.

Hopefulness is my default way of being because I have an unchangeable God who is entirely dedicated to me. If Abraham could see God's promises come true, I believe the same God, who shows no favoritism, will make sure that I, too, will see His promises fulfilled. I adjusted my perspective from assuming my life was over following my diagnosis to knowing there is so much more to come. Christ supplies stability and hope for my journey. May you find peace and confidence in your own journey, knowing that God is faithful and capable of doing extraordinary things.
