CHAPTER 1

The elders often says a good name

is rather to be chosen than gold and silver. When a name is being protected that means the name has not match itself with any criminal offence or any offence a may brings shame or reproaches to the person that bears the name in the society. A good name brings respect, honor, dignity and recognitions to the person's that bears the name and even to the entire families .

Dad can you please shed more light on the first sentence you mentioned said Hosea .

I do not want to know maybe it's a parable or a phrase , I just want dad to explain it further more .

James, that's okay boy . As I was saying, a good name is rather to be chosen than gold and silver.

Well , your teacher knows what he means when he says that and note he's only letting you know how valuables a gold is than any other raw materials .

CHAPTER 2

Once upon a time , many years back in my community . There lives a young man who's been recognized as a computer operator. These young man is so good that he almost became a computer scientist then.

Hosea, is he truly a computer scientist .

Yes , I may say that because he has a bsc in computer operating .

Bianca, did you attend same university .

No, and please have said it before I start that you should put down your questions in a paper .

As I was saying, he educates people alot about the advantages of having a personal computer for works to be done easily because truly a computer makes work easier . In his bag you will see his laptop and some accessories which can't be recognize by people . This bag never leaves is back whenever he's going out or coming in . His good works to young adult makes the communities to likes him and parents always trusted him with their sons aiming to be trained by him.

As months passed over month, people started seeing him spending lavishly, spending excessively in our community , some changed as happened in his life and all the people in our community saw this but didnt saw it coming. We will see him going out in the morning and coming in late in the night , sometimes mid night .

He did these for months but no one ever suspected his moves since his face can't be seen again during the day, so everyone quickly assumes he has found a better job paying him .

Then , one night , I came late from work and as I was coming I saw him approaching an abandoned kiosk . He opened it and dropped his bag inside then he leaves the place quickly . As soon as he left , I moved closer to the container and checked what's inside the bag . To my Surprise, I founds cocaines wrapped in a nylon . I couldn't checks other things that's there but I know the cocaines are much there and also I smells raw tobacco's. I quickly closed the bag and left the scenes .

The next morning ,as I was passing by, I checked maybe the bag will still be there but found nothing this time around . Since then have been suspecting him until I found out that he's a drug dealer .

Nelson, and did you report him to the police immediately .

No , I don't have to report him since that's where he chooses to get his money from and have made up my minds since beginning that his money won't touch my hands .

Bianca, that's better since his money his illegal.

Even if it's legal ,you know someones wealth doesn't get into my head . Since I have my own money but the only thing is that, everyday he's getting richer and still people haven't knows what he does for a living .

He's always respected by the communities even when he's not there and they always talks good of him not knowing he's putting the whole communities in danger .

Some months later he changed his car from pigeot to a good and comfortable Lexus car. He then stopped putting his bag inside the container again .

Hosea, does that means he has stopped trafficking in drugs.

No , from my own perspectives then , I think he stopped because he thinks he now has a saver place for himself because no one as an eye on him, even the police will thinks he's a businessman that's enjoying his money. Everyday his standard of living keeps expanding, he also dashes out money to people whenever he likes and this makes him to be more famous than before .

Hosea, does he has a family .

He cares not about marriage not even having a child but he's of age , I mean he suppose to be married at his age then .

CHAPTER 3

One day, he announced that he will be celebrating his 30th birthday in his

house and everyone is invited on that day . The day cames and many people shows up , all his friends that resides in the other parts of the city came with different cars . The party was spoiled with money .

Bianca, did you attend the party .

You know I can't go to that kind of party , am only seeing all what they are doing through my window since our building is besides each other.

As the party continues, people are still coming in from other communities .

Guys you know I told you before that he's more famous because of his wealth and in giving to people's. Hosea, yes you mentioned that earlier.

But do you guys knows that on his birthday, he becames the most famous man whose story cannot be forgotten by the people in the entire communities. .

Nelson, is that so?..

Bianca, wow .

Hosea, but how can a drug trafficker becomes so honourable in your city.

Oh , you want to knows that ?

Ok. As the party went on and on , officers in charge of crime and frauds were sent from the state investigating board . The party was bursted and everyone presents there were arrested.

Some hours later everyone's get bailed except Japhet and his friends who are found guilty , so they were detained.

Hosea, that's good for him .

The police later came back to his building to do thorough investigation .

During the process , seventy bags of cocaines along side with tobacco's and other hard drugs which I can't remembered. Also hundred thousands pounds were found .

Bianca, jesus !

Nelson, wow !

Hosea, like seriously.

Nelson, he must have kept that money in case he's declared wanted and you know he would just pack his belongings and elope to a far country.

Only God knows maybe that what's his plans .

Nelson, so that's how he ended .

Hosea, continue dad .

So ,people are still wondering about what happened and everyone's wanted to hear what his offence was because they only knows him as a businessman so they are still thinking that false accusations was laid against him concerning the issues of cocaines found in his building . They never believed he's trafficking in drugs until he was charged to court . So all the communities wanted to know maybe the allegations against him is true or not and that makes every heads gathered together in the court .

The judge first charged him of drugs trafficking in and outside the country which is against the law , truly he was found guilty. Secondly is internect frauds with an evidence showing how he defrauded a country of 5 million worth of dollars . Also the judge accused him of taking parts in money laundering .

Bianca, him alone with all these allegations.

Nelson, there's no way he can escape a right punishment.

After the allegations against him , the court then sentence him thirty years imprisonment.

Hosea, ops??wow !

Nelson, that's long , thirty years out of his life .

That's how he chooses to spend thirty years in bondage after he clocks thirty years of age .

Hosea, it means he will still be there till now.

Yes , he's still there till date.

Hosea, so sad for him.

Nelson, what of his family's, did no one came for him

No one knows any of his relatives right from the beginning.

Bianca, that means he's just a sojourners n your city

He only came to study and I thinks he prefer not to go meet his families back . Even though he sojourns to my city, you guys can see he has a good beginning but only to end it in prison yard. You see , that's what happens when one decides to picks gold and silver rather than a good name .

Bianca, hmm?.

Can you guys now see what I mean by comparing a good name to gold and silver. Just because Japhet didnt keeps his good name till the end of his staying in my city , his name then changed from a cheerful giver to a drug dealer, a fraudster and even some will described him as a criminal.

Now Hosea tell me , can Japhet lives prison tomorrow and decides to go back to my city again .

Hosea, no he won't.

That's how it is . Nelson why won't he thinks of living there again .

Nelson, because he won't be able to face the shame and the reproach waiting for him there .

Bianca, also I thinks he will not like to go there again because he has nothing to take there again . Talking of his properties.

Hosea, what will happens to his properties .

James, the government is the one in charge of his properties now, except if he has any other ones outside the country .

As everyone now has the understanding of what a good name is .

Nelson, sure .

In additions, you try as much as possible to do the right things in your society, no matter what people says , your own is to make sure you are doing good and running away from evil things because if you said you can't abide with keeping a good name , then there are people waiting for your name to be amongs the trash . I mean these kinds of people can spoil your name for you if care is not taking.

Hosea, ok dad , I promise to make sure I'm having a good behaviour towards our society from now on and am going to share this story with my friends too , so we can all starts working towards a goog name .
