Once upon a time, there lived a young man in a far away land known for his stealing habit. He was caught several times in the act but that didn't stop him from stealing. He lives alone at the end of the village, the villagers avoided him but this didn't bother him at all as he was used to the lifestyle. One day, he was caught stealing produce from the renowned farmer of the village, he was beaten up to the point of death and was dragged to the king's palace where he was found guilty of stealing. He was locked up in the palace prison for many months without food or drink. He became very thin, finally he was released, he went home but few weeks later, he was back to his stealing habit. The villagers continued to complain about their missing things but it didn't stop him from stealing.

The villagers thought of what to do and finally came with an idea, they organized a feast where there were enough food and drinks and for the first time, the thief was invited, he quickly accepted the invitation. On the day of the feast, the villagers had already hidden the king's most precious belonging, his golden cup. When he arrived, he was given a special treatment, he ate and drank to his satisfaction. One of the king's guards intentionally dropped the golden cup beside him. When he saw it, he looked around and when he saw no one was looking at him, he took the cup and was about to run when the villagers came out of their hiding places and caught him, he was beaten to death and that was the end of the thief
