Chapter One

Alex, Madi, and Kyle wake up in a white room, with no memories of their identities and each other; their only clue to their identity is a piece of paper with their names on it. "Ugh...where am I?" Madi asks, "I don't know where we are, who I am, or why I'm here with you two, but I'm gonna get out of here," responds Kyle. "So we all don't know where we are?" asks Alex, "No, we don't. Maybe we could try to look for clues on how to get out of here." Madi replies. The room makes a strange noise; then, out of nowhere, a typewriter appears right in front of them along with a piece of paper with four letters on it- XEIT. "Is this gonna help us out of here?" asks Alex, "It could, but what's the paper for? Madi adds. "I think we make a word out of this, and it could probably open up some stairs or something," Kyle says. Together they try to come up with a word that could help them escape the white walls. "Try TIE," suggests Kyle; the typewriter buzzes wrong. "Try EXIT…" Alex suggests. After typing it in. metal-like stairs start to come out of the wall next to them, along with a vent that maybe the exit—one by one, they head out of the room. Then smoke begins to fill up in the room. "Quick before it closes!" Alex shouts. Quickly they get out of the room and find themselves in the middle of a forest and no way to find their way home. "Where are we?" Madi asks, "I don't know, but we have to find a way out." Alex replies. They begin their journey on their way home.
