Aisha got out of her house and looked through the corner of her eyes. "There he is," she said to herself and started walking. But a bike blocked her way. She knew who it was and after the helmet was removed, it was just a reassurance that she was correct. The boy put his hand inside his pocket and brought out a bottle full of a liquid substance. Aisha tried to push his hand away instinctively, but it was too late. The liquid was thrown at her and in the next second, she could feel the lower portion of her face burning down and then it was a total blackout until she discovered herself in the hospital bed.

It was an acid attack on Aisha but the culprit, Manish, the son of a wealthy politician was roaming freely, and money played its role to keep him safe.

For three months Manish had laid his eyes upon the angelic beauty of Aisha. But after three rejections, he became desperate. One day he caught Aisha and her friend Arohi in an almost deserted lane, pushed Aisha to a corner and tried to pull her hand over his crotch saying, "I can show you my masculinity right now. What else can a girl want from a boy? Come with me." Arohi screamed, "Get away from her." But even before, the few people on that lane gathered around, the sound of a slap filled the air. Manish's cheek got red because of the slap by Aisha. He started his bike and looking at Aisha & Arohi with eyes burning with anger he shouted, "You pride in your beauty, isn't it? I'll turn you into such a mess that no boy will ever look at you." Then he sped away. Aisha and Arohi went home not taking
him seriously, but three days later he proved himself right.

Even after two months of the incident, taunts- whispers-insulting words came flying around whenever Aisha passed by. But even in that darkest hour, there was a ray of hope. A new boy came to the town. Sandeep had a mind clear enough to see the truth. He brought Aisha back to life and gave her new hope.

One day he said to Aisha and Arohi, "We need to do something. Manish is still feeding on innocent souls. We need to make him confess everything that he did to you." Aisha choked a little but asked, "How?" He explained the whole plan to Aisha and Arohi.

Finally, the day to execute the plan arrived. Aisha played the bait and managed to convince Manish to come to an abandoned warehouse in the evening. Both Aisha and Sandeep were afraid but not for their own selves, but for each other, as deep down they were in love with each other. However, Aisha was too scared of love, and that’s why one day they made a promise, "We will be best friends forever but not lovers." This kept them from expressing their feelings.

Aisha and Sandeep were waiting when Manish arrived, and as they were going to pounce on Manish, a gun roared. Aisha was down on the ground and Sandeep could only hold her hand before hockey sticks started to land on him. Even in the dark, they could see the wicked smile of Manish. He said in a playful tone, "You thought you could catch me. It ain't so easy. Aisha, darling you won't see the next sunrise, and for you rascal, you will rot in the jail." He stopped to take a breath and ordered," Shoot her and throw her in the nearby river. Cut
off his thumbs so he can't hold someone ever again." Aisha's body was never found, and Sandeep was put to jail with charges of killing Aisha.

Five years passed since the incident, a boy was sitting in the dining table of Arohi's house and 500 KM away a girl was doing the same. The boy had two artificial thumbs, and the lower portion of the girl's face was burnt.

Nice one. Loved your usage of practical things in the story. And the words were really simple so was easily understandable.
