Chapter 2

At your "Red Sea" of feeling as though you're drowning? Moses said that if God's presence wouldn't go with them, then he wouldn't move in Exodus 33:15 - 16. We clearly see here that Moses always needed God to give assurance to the Israelites. Psalm of David chapter 27 verse 10 says:" When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. "That's assurance that you are his own...that you belong to him, and you are his beloved child. His promise is also seen in Isaiah 43:2. As it says: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

INSPIRATIONAL DEVOTION: The waters and fire are symbolic of whatever situation that you may find yourselves in; it can be good or bad, easy or difficult. But God has assured us that He will be with us. It is comforting to hear this, and it should give us a reason to celebrate and thank Him for His presence and word of assurance. Because God knows you, and what you are going through; He will use any situation to build you up in order for you to embrace your miracle. Continue to trust Him, continue to praise Him, continue to thank Him in every season of your life, and pray based on His Word and you will live to testify that God is good and His mercies endure forever. (Psalm 136:1)

Although God may sometimes decide to be silent as He was in the case of the three Hebrew men that were thrown in the fire, they were not afraid, because they were given the assurance through their faith in God that they would have been delivered although God kept silent. He is busy working out your deliverance, your promotion, your healing, even your prosperity, in Jesus' name.

The same goes for Daniel when he was thrown into the lion's den. The same God who kept silent at the time of the three Hebrew boys was still in action. He waited to prove His power to deliver them to the uttermost time. Even when all human hope is lost, God is still at work. And he will do the same for you , if you would believe and trust Him absolutely.
