Why daughters are not blessed in the society?

Daughters are called DEVI ROOP in the Indian society ,worshiped but still not blessed.
Being mother of two proud daughters i never thought of having a son, things are always appreciated by me and my husband having 2 daughters.We never thought of boys and girls,but when i see the world around me could n’t believe that people differentiate girls from boys. A small incident changed my life and realized me to have a daughter is blessings not curse.
This was a small incident when i have been working in the maternity ward of the hospital ,a lady with full term pregnacy came to me along with her dark colour ,old lady in black colour saree .She was looking not less than a vampire in her first look.
Lady said; Mam please examine me as i am having mild contractions since morning.
I looked at her and asked her history for documentation ,when i asked about the obstetrical history,she told that this was her third pregnancy ,had no history of abortions and two live kids are there.
Sudden without thinking a second i said then why did you plan for third ?
The vampire lady get furious in her raise tone ” Madamji bachi hai dono ” bacha chahiye tha.
I looked at the door two very beautiful princess were standing. For me these words of mother in law sticked in my mind for few days ,whole day i used to think about it ,that from one side we worship girls and another way we even don’t consider them our kids,by thinking this reality of indian society tears could not control from my eyes.
Then she was admitted and stayed in hospital for 5 days,third day she was blessed with a boy.Every one in the family was very happy but that vampirewas in 7th heaven with her happiness.
I talked to the patient and asked her about how she is looking after the girls.she told that in her village ladies are considered as a machine for producing babies.if a boy is born in the family they will be looked after very well by the relatives and celebrated and if girl is born they will be tortured like this.
Is this the fact of our real society when i see the world girls are doing well in all the fields .I had a mirror view of world which was thrashed in a moment. I had decided that i am going to give this vampire mother in law ,but a thought have stopped me to do that,if prime minister could not do evenaeven his campaign of beti bachao beti padhao then being a simple women what would I do to change her mentality.
My strategy was that time to approach that mother in law in a very polite manner, i had waited for a chance and finally I got one day.
I made her comfortable and said mataji ” Aap ko bhi aapki maa bacchi hi bolti hogi na,toh kitne bache the aapki maa ke”
Mataji was in surprised and made her eyes more prominent towards me .
She said: 7 bhai behan the hum.
Me: but aap toh beti ko kuch nahi manati thi ,agar aap ko aapki maa bhi bachpan mein maar deti toh aaj aap yahi hoti ladke ka muh dekhne ke liye,chalo koi baat nahi kya fark padta hai.
I just got up moved just thinking leave it ….
A voice came from back side ,madam ji badi galti ho gayi mujhse ,i turned back it was unbelievable but whatever finally something gone inside the mind of mataji.
She promised that day onward she will look after her granddaughters same as her grandson.
For me this small incidence changed my life ,I used to think that girls don't need any chance to raise themselves in our country only need to motivate ourselves.After this small incidence I changed my attitude and started helping the ladies blessed with daughters ,counselled their families and so on which is still need to motivate them their attitude towards girl child.I am not sure what will you think about me but this is the fact of our society.
Still I got messages from that lady that all is well now ,they are studying well.This was nothing more than a reward for me.I still think why this happened in our society with the girls.
When I blessed second time with another daughter that moment was the best moment of my life , i used to pray " May god bless me with daughter only and the people who are crying for son ,may god bless them only sons.If daughters are given to them they' ll make their life a real disaster.
At the last I would say nothing is most beautiful than daughters in this world.I hope others too will be agree with me.
