Determined to catch him, I bought a mouse trap from Shalimar and successfully trapped him. Initially furious, I felt sympathy when I saw his terrified eyes, so I released him in an isolated plot, thinking he'd stay away. However, the next day, he returned, confidently exploring the kitchen. I trapped him again, but this time, I decided to keep him in the trap for a couple of days to break his confidence. A cat showed up, trying to get at him, adding to his terror. Eventually, I felt guilty and released him at Dachigam National Park, where he gave me a grateful glance before disappearing. My kitchen has been mouse-free since, but I can’t help but half expect him to return one day, a little bolder and smarter.
