The Lebanese war was a very difficult time for every Lebanese citizen. Hopelessness reigned everywhere. In the end of the 80s there was a glimpse of hope when many fled to Cyprus on small boats, sacrificing belongings, relatives, and heading towards an uncertain future even at the risk of their lives.
