Pamela had been happily married to Carl. One day, they were at home. Pamela was preparing dinner when there was a knock on the door. As they were not expecting visitors, Carl was surprised "I wonder who it is," he said. He opened the door and saw a man in his 30s.
"Hi, Sir. May I help you?" Carl asked.
"I'm looking for Pamela. Is she here?" the man asked, while looking inside the house. Before Carl could answer, Pamela came out from the kitchen.
"Dear, who's this?" Pamela asked. But when she saw who was at the door, shock was written all over her face. It was her ex-boyfriend Dave, who was also a ghost from the past.
"Well, aren't you inviting me in?" Dave asked, with a smug look on his face. Pamela reluctantly invited him in. Carl offered to get Dave a drink. Once he had entered the kitchen, Pamela pulled Dave aside.
"What are you doing here? I thought you are supposed to be in jail?" she asked irritably.
"I just come out last week, and I need money. Do you think you can lend me some money?" Dave asked with a wicked smile on his face.
"I don't have money to lend you. Go away," Pamela shouted, albeit in a low voice.
"Oh really? Well, I have something to show you," Dave said in an unfathomable tone. He showed Pamela a stack of photos. Upon seeing those photos, Pamela's face turned pale. Dave had taken private photos of her without her knowledge.
"What do you want?" she asked in a low voice.
"Nothing. Like I said, I just come out of jail, so I need some cash. Do you think you can lend me some money?" Dave repeated. Before Pamela could say anything, Carl appeared.
"What's going on here?" he asked. "Ask you wife. I'm sureshe has a lot to tell you," Dave said menacingly. He then turned to Pamela. "Pamela, I give you 3 days to think about what I said. When I call you, I expect your answer. Otherwise, I'll tell your husband." With that, he left the house. Once Dave had left, Carl asked for an explanation. Pamela sighed and told him about her past with Dave.
Pamela's mind was transported to 7 years ago, when she got involved with bad company. She had a relationship with Dave, who was a gang member. They did all sorts of dangerous things together. One day, Dave committed an armed robbery without Pamela's knowledge. He then fled to another country but was arrested and deported back to Hong Kong. While he tried to implicate Pamela, the police found evidence which showed that she was not involved in the armed robbery, so she walked free while Dave was imprisoned. After this incident, Pamela resolved to turn her life around. She met Carl, who gave her a job with his company, and fell in love with him and they got married. However, she added that she had no idea Dave would blackmail her using her private photos. After hearing her story, Carl promised to do everything in his power to protect her.
3 days later, Dave called Pamela, who agreed to meet him. When they met, Dave asked for money again. Pamela gave him a sports bag, but when he opened the bag, he saw that it contained old newspapers. Just then, police officers arrived. It turned out that Pamela had called the police about Dave's blackmail. Dave suddenly turned violent, and armed with a knife, he took Pamela hostage, while forcing police officers to retreat. While Dave was engaged in the standoff with the police, Carl sneaked upto him from behind, disarmed him and pinned him to the ground, giving police officers the chance to arrest him. Pamela was unharmed. With Dave's arrest, Carl and Pamela embraced, relieved that everything was over.
