"Please...Help me get away from here," the man begged them. Liquid was coming out from his mouth. Although he did not mention what happened to him, the 2 men knew on hindsight that he was in some trouble. Using nightfall as cover, they carried the man some distance away from the house. Once the coast was clear, Dylan and Walter looked around and spotted a guard's house nearby. They brought the man there. He stuck his finger into his mouth and vomitted on the grass patch. The guard's house had long since stood empty. The ex-convicts forced the door open. After that, they carried the man inside and put him on a bunk. He was not really in need of first aid and he was conscious. Still, Dylan said that they should probably call an ambulance. However, the man spoke again.
"Please, no ambulance," he pleaded. Even though he was still quite weak, the man refused medical attention. He said that he could handle it himself and that whoever tried to poison him must be punished. The man was gradually recovering. He looked around and the 2 men saw fear flicker in his eyes. Carefully, he asked what they were trying to do in the darknight. Dylan and Walter exchanged guilty glances and admitted that they were about to break into his house to look for valuables, further explaining that they were left without a livelihood and that they did not really have a choice. After all, the worth of valuables would be peanuts to the wealthy. After hearing their story, the man felt sorry for them. He promised to help them after everything is over. He then collapsed on the ground, and while still conscious, he heard every word of the conversation between his wife and her lover, which was about getting rid of his body, but hecould not do anything about it. He really thought his life would be in danger had it not been for the 2 petty criminals who were about to break into his house. The man thanked them for saving him. It happened so suddenly that nobody even had time to think. All the employees respected Oliver for being a great man and a great leader who knew all the details of the company's business. There were also employees who were with the company from day one and knew Oliver to be a true self-made person who attained these high postions through his own talent and hard work, and now his wife, the new owner intended to appoint her lover to a key position.
