A farmer lived at a small village near Kolkata. He was financially poor, but his heart was rich with kindness. He had a compassionate wife who assisted him at farming activities from dawn to dusk.

The couple didn't have any child. Therefore, they treated some fishes at a nearby pond as their children. While returning from the field, the farmer and his wife halted at the embankment of the pond. They fed the fishes with the left outs from their lunch. The fishes ate happily.

One day, while feeding the fishes, a pink fish popped out from the water. She said," You satisfy our hunger. I offer you a boon with which you will relish three meals a day". Then the fish disappeared in the water. From the next day onwards, the couple enjoyed the meals as wished by the fish.

The next evening, a blue fish emerged from the water. She opined, "Your affection has provided us the warmth. I wish you stay at a brick house to protect yourself from the odd weather conditions" After reaching the campus, the couple found a newly built home. Their hearts were filled in joy.

On the third consecutive evening, a yellow fish surfaced from the water. She said, "Your company has addressed our crises. I wish you grow rich". The farmer and his wife found hoards of gold after reaching home. From that night, their lives changed complexly and they lived happily.
