Riya was busy shopping accessories at the mall. As someone touched her shoulder from behind, Riya turned and noticed that her college friend Emy was standing behind her. They were good friends during college. It's been five years since they met. As Riya excitedly hugged her friend, the two sat down to enjoy a cup of coffee and chatted about life. They ordered a cold cocoa latte and a nutty fudge brownie at the cafe.

Riya: I'm glad we've finally met after all these years.

Emy: That's true, years have passed since I last met you.

Riya: I'm curious about you, Emy

Emy: We have recently moved to Hydrabad. My husband got transferred to a college as a lecturer. I'm the mother of two lovely children. Arav is in the 2nd grade, while Arya is in the 5th grade. As a freelancer, I work from home. What about you?

Riya: That's good, we've been in the United States for two years, we returned last week, and we think we'll settle here. I work as a financial analyst and my husband is an engineer. I have a daughter named Shreya who is studying 3rd grade.

Emy: I'm glad to hear that.

In the midst of their conversation, the waiter placed the coffee and brownie.

Emy took a sip of her coffee and said, "Last week, during the flight, I saw Amir, he was doing well and asked how you were doing.

Riya: Oh really, as we don't have a good wavelength, we parted ways. I'm glad I didn't marry him. I am deeply in love with my husband, who takes excellent care of me. Amir had not been on my mind since I got married.

Emy: Wow that was great.

As far as I can tell, yours is a love marriage, isn't it? Have your parents finally accepted your love? Take a bite of this
cake! It’s good.

Emy: My parents didn't accept us since we got married without their consent. However, the cake is delicious!

Riya: Don't worry, they will soon understand as you've been living a happy life.

Emy: Let's hope it is soon! We went to Disney world last month, and it was awesome. It would be nice if you could visit with your family one day. Sherya would probably love it.

Riya: That's excellent. The plan for a world trip is already in place since my husband enjoys traveling a lot.

Their conversation was interrupted by Riya's phone ringing. As she took her mobile, she replied, "Yeah, I'm coming."

Riya: My husband is waiting in the parking lot.” It's time for me to leave. It's nice to catch up with you. Get in touch.

My pleasure I am happy to see you as well, Emy said. Until next time, bye!

As Riya walked to the car parking, she had a thousand thoughts running through her head. I wouldn't have been in the hatred life if I had married Amir. My heart aches for him. What a fool I am. I got married to a person just because he was moving to the United States. My needs were never met by him. It is impossible for him to love me. It is hell to live without love. Love cannot be bought with all the money in the world. Emy is happily married to her boyfriend, and she is doing well. If I were Emy, I would lead a happy life.

Meanwhile, Emy sat in the cafeteria and her thoughts troubled her. Life has changed so much for me. My bank account is depleted. I am unsure how I will pay for all my debuts. Emy appears to be expensive. The life she leads must be happier than everyone else's. No one
even supports me, not even my parents. If I think further about my debuts, credit card bills, school fees, house rent, and bank loan, I will explode. Why on earth am I living such a terrible life? I would have a wonderful life if I were Riya.

Note: Never compare your life with someone else's. They may be showing smiling faces and posting happy images, but that doesn't mean they are really happy. You'll never know what someone is going through until you walk in their shoes. Respect what you have and be grateful for it.
