In love with Mary

I was introverted during my school years. Even though I was an excellent student, 6 1 foot tall, and fairly attractive. But it was a significant concern for me when it came to meeting new people. Speaking to a lady, let alone flirting (which many of my friends did), was a huge challenge for me. As you would have anticipated, there was a slim likelihood that I would ever be in a relationship.

Since the seventh grade, I've had a crush on one of my classmates. She was a little short, extroverted, and stunning. I tried to catch a peek of her anytime she was in my vicinity. Although, as previously said, I couldn't talk to her unless she initiated the conversation. Mary was her name.

Our classes were not switched in our school from 6th to 8th grade, thus I enjoyed a great long time of 3 years with my crush in my class. So three years went by like water dripping from cupped hands. I was a little sad when Mary and I were separated into different sections (for 9th grade) because I couldn't talk to her for the entire year.

In 10th grade, though, she was reassigned to my section. And then things began to happen.

We had four computer lectures per week, two of which were practicals, and we worked in labs. I've always been fascinated by computers, and I think I enjoyed these lab sessions more than anyone else (i could even sacrifice my PT period for this)

And, to my astonishment, we had to work in pairs this year; fortunately for me, my companion was Mary.

She wasn't very good at it, and that's where I came in handy; I used to tutor her, and we finally became friends. It felt as though I was having the time of my life. She seemed to be impressed by my programming abilities.

The most important aspect of my narrative

During that year, I used to go cycling every evening to relieve stress and enjoy a beautiful long ride in my city. My town was one of the most developed in the country. Its roads weren't too awful, and it was less busy, so riding was safe and enjoyable around the city.

So one Saturday evening, I decided to take a lengthy bike ride. My parents had gone out of the station to see some of my distant relatives for their son's wedding, so I was becoming bored at home.

I had just passed through Mary's house, where two roads used to intersect perpendicularly. Before I got to the crosswalk, I noticed another biker who I recognized as my crush. Although I recognized it at first glance, I didn't stop to stare and continued on my way.

BANG!!!

I just heard a tremendous thump that sounded like it was caused by an accident. I came to a halt and turned around. It was presumably her who had crashed into a neighboring tree at one of the corners. I ran towards her after swiftly parking my bike. Because the street was deserted, no one seemed to notice the noise. I noticed a wound on her left knee; it wasn't a serious wound, but blood was still streaming from it.

I snatched my handkerchief from my neck and said -

"Oh, no! If you've been injured, grab this and tie it around the wound, or let me do it for you..." (I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to do)

"Yes, please," she said, "and thank you, Peter."

I gently placed my handkerchief over her wound and inquired -

"I believe I should assist you in reaching your apartment; it is, after all, close, isn't it?"

"Yes, I'd be grateful for that," she said.

She was smiled and seemed happy and relieved as she said this.

I was entirely immersed in her thoughts for a brief period before remembering that I needed to assist her to her flat.

I assisted her in walking by asking her to keep her arm on my shoulder and supporting her so that the pressure on her damaged leg was reduced.

We arrived at her house and I assisted her in washing the damage, while I put a bandage on her knee and inquired.

"How do you feel now? Are you okay?"

"I feel much better, thanks to you Peter; I consider myself extremely fortunate to have you since if you hadn't been there, I would have been struck and waiting for help."

"Anytime, don't worry, it's a small incision that will heal soon,". (I had no idea how I was able to speak so fluently in front of my love.)

- she said.

"Thank you so much, Peter. btw, would you mind if I asked you to stay here for a while? I wasn't able to solve physics numerical yesterday, and I believe you could have solved them, so could you please assist me with those numerical?"

Me: Of course, why wouldn't I assist you?

It took over 45 minutes for me to complete the questions, which were simple to understand but difficult to teach.

Following that, I noticed she was simply staring at me. That was the nicest moment when I looked at her.

We made long eye contact with both of our eyes fixated on each other. She, like me, appeared to have lost her way in my eyes.

Following that, something unexpected happened.

She was drawing closer to me, as you may have predicted. It was seductive, and my heart was racing faster than it had ever been before.

She put her hands on my shoulder and moved in close. It was my first time, and it was really exciting. (I can't describe how it felt to kiss the girl I'd had a strong crush on for three years.)

I was taken aback and remained silent until she broke the quiet -

"— I've always liked you, ever since I was in sixth grade—"

(Damn, she's liked me since sixth grade.) I was in seventh heaven.)

I had to believe for the first time that extroverts could be so secretive)

"— Please don't mind the kiss; I tried but couldn't stop myself"

(Why would I mind, I was having a good time)

I figured this would be a good time to admit it.

"You know what, I have a confession to make: I like you as well. Since we were in seventh grade, I've had a big crush on you."

I spotted her flushing before I could say anything else, and she turned pink.

"Really? Are you joking, or what?"

"No, I'm not joking."

"Oh oh my gosh, how did I miss it?" she exclaimed.

The discussion continued. It was truly a magical experience. We talked till the sunset. I even made us coffee while we watched the sunset. She even revealed that it was her first kiss as well, but she had witnessed one of her friends do it.

(Now I know why she crashed; she was probably staring at me instead of watching out for the barrier.)

It's been two years. We started dating after this occurrence.

I still adore her, and she adores me.
