A farmer regularly sold 10 kilograms of vegetables grown in his farm to a grocery store in the Village.

Sometimes, He will also buy groceries to his household from the grocery store.

One day, The grocery owner had a doubt, whether the vegetables sold by the farmer is of exact weight? and he weighed the vegetables and found that the vegetables weighed only 8 kilograms.That is 2 kilograms lesser than it needed to be.

The grocery store owner got angry on the farmer and dragged him to the Village President.

The village president asked the farmer, “What method do you use to weigh the vegetables?”

The farmer replied, “ Hand held weighing scale.. sir”

The village president asked, “ based on which measurement you weighed the vegetables?”

The farmer politely replied, “ Sir,  As you know I am a poor farmer, I don’t have money to buy the proper weighing stones. Hence, I used one of the 10 kilograms of Ricebags which I bought from the grocer  to weigh the vegetables every day.

On hearing this the Village President looked at the grocer angrily.

The grocery store owner tilted his head in embarrassment!
