"No, no, no. You don't understand" Jackson smoothed down his hair as he spoke, trying to regain his bearings.

"The problem isn't how many there are, or where it will land initially. The problem is when it will land." and with this, Jackson stood up holding his arms out in a gesture that can best be described as exasperation.

"We don't have any actual time to prepare, and warning everyone can be a mistake, precisely because of the lack of time." Jackson finished.

A hush fell over the room, each person fidgeting in small ways: stirring coffee, thumbing the pages of the pamphlets in front of them, or biting their lips.

"So we just, let this happen?" the president spoke up at last, a tinge of fear in his voice.

"Well, it will happen whether we let it or not." Jackson responded calmly. The projector lit the top half of his body as he stood in the front of the room.

"What will they do when they meet them?" someone asked, from the corner.

Jackson took a second to think, before letting out a sigh.

"They will hate us." Jackson looked down as he spoke, "They will hate us all."
