Once upon a time, there was an announcement of the battle between two small kingdoms, Silambur and Valasaivur. Silambur had the most powerful force with advanced weapons, while Valasaivur lacked powerful armed forces and had a quarter of the number of soldiers as Silambur. The other kingdoms thought that Silambur would win the battle effortlessly. The King and the ministers of Silambur were overconfident and believed they would win the battle easily. The ministers of Valasaivur deeply discussed the battle strategies.

The army was headed by two commanders, Ranadheeran and Adhiradhan. Ranadheeran was a great warrior and highly skilled, while Adhiradhan was talented in critical and practical thinking and very loyal. They both had equal skills with different strategies. Together, they devised a new technique of attack in which a small military could defeat a large force with the strongest will. The King firmly believed in his military commanders.

The battle started, and the veterans of Valasaivur followed the orders of their commanders. At first, Valasaivur struggled a lot, but gradually, victory came into their hands. Valasaivur won the battle, shocking all the kingdoms. The King knew that it was accomplished only because of the ideas of his two great commanders. He decided to reward them generously.

Ranatheeran asked for a huge amount of wealth and received it, but Athirathan made a strange request.

He asked the King to have lunch at his house every day. The King agreed, and from that day, he had his lunch in Athirathan's house. The path to his house was a muddy road with many ridges, so the ministers constructed a new road there. They also built a new mansion for Athirathan as his house was not big. For ventilation of air, they fixed many fans and to light the mansion hundreds of lamps were put in place.
To satisfy the taste buds of the King daily 25+ dishes were cooked. To keep the luxurious feel of King, Athirathan's old small house turned into a new large mansion, becoming a second palace for the King.

Ranatheeran spent all the wealth he had acquired and returned to his old condition, while Athirathan's decision brought him endless wealth. Both Ranatheeran and Athirathan were given equal opportunities, but Athirathan's wise decision led to his continued prosperity.
