"We Never Know What's About To Happen"

 It couldn't have come at a better time. The power went down, the lights went out and it was the best day of my life.

 I have never seen a crowd leave a church that fast in my life. They had talked for years of spirits from the past appearing during choir practice. I know this wasn't the case, actually the crack of lightning, my fears of marrying a man I really wasn't sure of.

 This answered all of my concerns, especially when he left without me. I actually felt totally relieved. I wasn't being pushed into a marriage to a man, that my dad picked out for me. (not really but he was my dad's assistance manager). I knew deep in my heart that this really wasn't what I would call true love.

 My dad was a wonderful, hard-working man. I knew from the very beginning he wanted me to work for his company. I never felt that the company was suited for me. I was a woman of designer skills for fashion. As for my dad, his company was handling investments for people.

 The only child, I never wanted to disappoint them. I actually started to wonder if my dad and I could come to terms and bring our business skills together. It may change the family company, but with change, there are often wonderful opportunities.

"Let The Beginning Start Now"

 When I got back to the house, dad looked discouraged. Mom on the hand smiled and said "he wasn't the one for our girl".

 I took my gown off and jumped into my favourite "pajamas". Walking into the kitchen mom and dad were eating wedding cake and drinking tea.

 I actually will always remember that night for so many reasons.

 It was like a Pandora box had finally been open. I told my dad my feelings of the two of us coming together as one company.. Still under the same name "Family Invests" but maybe with a few words to the end like "And Sparkles"..

 Sitting up until the wee hours of the night, I explained my plan, my numbers and starting my production slowly. I shared with my parents my collection of fashion and how dad could broaden the fashion even more, by investing. Or working in sales and distributing the ideas worldwide.

 Dad seemed really interested, what made us both even more excited was mom wanted to join. My mom was the best seamstress I had ever known. I think this is why I went to school to learn all about it.

"Working As A Team And Family"

 To start our business production off, the first thing my dad did was give my ex, a good sum of money and wished him well in his endeavours.

 My mom came in carrying what we thought at first was a coat, actually in fact it was the wedding gown she made for me. It was perfect for the board meeting, it was the gown that was the beginning of our fashion line, and for the rest of the line, mom was going to critique and add her sparkle.

 My dad was busy searching the internet and reviewing places he could invest in with websites, clientele to expand our company.

 I, on the other hand, looked into fashion shows, models, and most importantly the production and cost.

 Things started off slow but before we knew it, "Family Invests And Sparkles" was off the ground and doing well. Our family couldn't have been happier. 

"Feeling Lonely"

 Seeing the happiness in my parent's faces, how they held hands and kissed walking into work. I knew that soon I would love that.

 We were working a lot and then my job took me to France.

 Such a beautiful place to go to. I was busy with a big fashion show, after that, I really did a lot of sightseeing.

 Every morning I went to the Cafe and sat drinking some amazing coffee and wonderful scones. One morning a very tall, handsome man sat beside me. We were both visiting for very similar reasons, fashion. 

 Better yet, he lived one hour from where I lived back home. This ended up being the trip of a lifetime.

Will we marry? Hopefully one day, we both know we don't care if the power is off or on. We just love each other.
