I'm placed onto a hospital bed, a doctor and nurse rush me down to a room, the doctor asking me quequestions, "What's your name? Can you tell me if you know where you are?" I don't answer im falling in and out of consciousness, I black out.
I woke up on a quiet ward, confused. I have an oxygen mask helping me breathe, a drip placed into my arm, giving me fluids. I gaze around the room. To my left, I glare upon a doctor talking to a nurse by the nurses station. The doctor stared back and noticed I had woken up. He slowly walks towards my bed with a friendly face. He sits by the side, he gazes at me, and says, " you're not a well person. we had to put you on a drip and oxygen, do you have heavy periods?" I reply, " yes for years now." The doctor reply with concern," good job you was already in hospital, if you was at home you wouldn't of made it at all. We had to put you on a drip and oxygen. Do you have heavy periods?" I reply, " yes for years now." The doctor replies with concern," Good job you were already in hospital, if you were at home you wouldn't have made it at all. We're going to advise you to continue to take iron tablets. This will help you. You need to rest for a while, no straignuous activities for a while until your heart gets stronger, and it's been deprived of oxygen for a long time." I replied."OK, I will definitely do that. Thank you, doctor."
Days become weeks and months, i piled on the pounds as i rested. No longer a petite size, but a large size. I didn't want to go swimming like this or go to the gym. I was embarrassed of how I looked. I'm feeling judged while I'mout.
